Where do I start? first of all this place has the best Japanese food I?ve ever eaten. The quality of the food has set the bar... high for other competing restaurants. My husband and I love sushi. We stopped in for lunch to try this restaurant out while in town. The selection and quality of food... did not disappoint; however, our waiter was not the greatest. It was not busy, yet the appetizer we ordered never came. Wedidn't even see him again once we got our food to even ask about it. Then when it was time to pay the bill we had to ask thevery nice hostess to help us track him down so we could pay. All in all good food, hopefully better service if we go back again. Read more
Not only is the food and sushi the best around the atmosphere is better than anywhere around. This is where you can bring your... family and feel at home or go on a date and have a drink. Sushi chef and boss man Mr M is worth the trip. He expects the bestfood and atmosphere and service for his guests. Bar none a must. If you havent been you gotta go or you are missing out. Me and my daughter were in there yesterday.. the food was great..prices about what you would expect.. our servers name was... marley... dude was on point... my drink glass never got empty (a big thing for me).. our order was exactly correct.. the man waspolite..well mannered and just the right amount attentive... We did not enjoy our food at all. The hibachi chef came and went so quickly that you didn't get any type of experience, plus he... was already done cleaning the grill before I even opened up my salmon (since it was cooked last) which was fully undercooked andraw in the center. He was also a very messy chef and was slinging oil towards us, dropping food everywhere, very very fast andrushed. Most of us did not even eat half of our food because it tasted like the oil or the grill just wasn't clean or fresh. Icouldn't determine what it was. Also, the inside decor overall seems like it's in desperate need of cleaning and remodeling (Thewallpaper was separating at the seams all throughout the dining areas), the restrooms were dirty and there was no soap when wewere there. I can only imagine that the staff could see our distaste but we did not get anyone that actually checked on us, theserver was obviously filling in for missing people and she would ask us how we were as she was walking by to another table.There was another guest that was there that said she used to work at a different location and she left most of her sushi on herplate as well. We had our first lunch today at Fuji. Our waitress Megan was awesome. You wouldn't expect great sushi in Ashland KY when your... from HI, but the sushi rolls we had were ONO ONO especially the Tokyo roll. Definitely will go back. Read more
