The food is straight up delicious. We had a ginger/carrot/coconut soup, a dahl, and a bowl with 3 sauces and all were full of... flavor and noticeably made with fresh ingredients. The owners and manager (Sage) are delightful people who prioritize thequality of their meals, and it shows in how much we enjoyed our own dishes. Read more

The food is good and I think that?s why people still go here, but the service is bad. When I ask for an estimated time for... something, even when I go later it?s never ready. They?ve forgotten my greens 2 times in a row on my order and when I asked forthem they gave me plain lettuce. The staff are not welcoming and expect to wait 30+ minutes for one naan. Read more

The person taking our order lacks social skills. They/them didn?t look me in the eye, and seemed irritated with questions we had... about the menu. The roasted Brussels sprouts were refunded at my request. They were overcooked and mushy. The brown rice andvegetables in my curry dish were over cooked as well. No one ever came to the table to check on us or our meal. Sauce has tankedin my opinion in the last year. Come in Sauce! You can do better. Read more

Great wholesome food and homemade desserts. A great place for meat eaters and vegan alike. Nice outside seating and very clean... bathrooms. 10/2022: Now offering take and bake items for home! Read more

I?ve been going to this place since it opened. The food is often really good but it is amazing how, year after year, they hire... kids who are so not into working there. I always feel like I am deeply disturbing them by asking them to wait on me. As so manyother commenters have observed the same thing, it?s amazing to me that the manager doesn?t take this problem more seriously. Read more

Really great food. They could benefit from sauces giving more taste, but already there is quite a variety to choose. My favorite... garlic tofu. Read more

I've supported & enjoyed Sauce since opening. Living in Ashland 30yrs I know how important it is to shop, eat,...basically spend... my hard Earned money in town whenever possible. During covid understandable Sauce was short staffed w/inconsistent hrs & stillwe continued to go. Here's where the disappointment starts...as covid restrictions lessen & diners are dining again inside & out...I have had really good luck with their pre-made desserts, soups & entrees but chking out is another story. If I wanted to grab& go this would be so easy not to pay because I have to wait so long for help. When help finally comes staff seems tired &unhappy. I have many occasions to order take out & recently more disappointed than usual. The latest dining disappointment waslast night. I spent $97. & the food was old & dry. Especially the braised beef & white rice. The veges tasted & looked old tooyuck!. I normally order the double happiness & asked for no yams but extra glzed squash. I got double yams & no squash. BecauseI am local I feel it is my duty to tell the owner or manager if I am unhappy instead of complaining to everyone I know. Ireturned the next day & after waiting at the register at least 10min. A young person came out & asked me what I needed.I askedto see the owner or manager & was told "ur looking at her". I explained how unhappy I was with service & food the night before &I swear ...she shrugged her shoulders & said "what do you want me to do about it?." I realized I was going to get nowhere withthis manager (?) & told her I will not be coming back. She said "well, u gotta do what u gotta do." Several customers werewaiting as I walked out the Sauce door for the last time & several people rolled their eyes, like I know what ur going through.Short story people ...terrible food, expensive & worst of all awful service that keeps getting worse...Whats really the cherryon top of this mess... I won't be buying their desserts anymore & desserts are always terrific... Read more

Any restaurant that has vegan and gluten-free options deserves four points, in my opinion. I couldn't, unfortunately, give it... five. I was disappointed that all of the meals had grain in them. I had to order individual items a la carte. Then, when I gotthem, I was surprised at how small the containers were. The tofu and roasted veggies were good. The Miso soup tasted likecelery, not me so, so I wasn't thrilled with that. Overall, I would eat there again but would prefer to find some place withfull meals. Props to them, though, for using good ingredients and making whole foods! Oh, also, they have quite a few tables foroutdoor dining. Look like six or seven... Read more
