Seriously the best place in town. The food is great, and the owner and staff are always so friendly and welcoming!! Didn?t pay... attention to business hours and accidentally stayed 15 minutes past closing time, but the owner encouraged us to stay and finishour food! I haven't had much Mediterranean food, but this place is awesome. My boyfriend asked for their recommendation and we were... supposed to go back and let them know how it was (weren't able to though). The hummus was delicious. Each piece of food had aunique flavor that tasted good by itself and amazing combined with each other. The most surprising part to me, was the Brusselsprouts. I've never liked them, but whatever seasoning they used/however they cooked them, works. They turned out to be myfavorite part. Staff was friendly, kind, and very helpful to us. Delicious food, friendly people! Highly recommend. They worked with my dairy allergy too, which some restaurants see as... completely my problem. Update!! July 29, 2022. The temp outside is 110. The AC unit is broken inside Xerxes and these rockstars not only stay open but also make absolutely the most delicious kebab platter in the world. So good. Staff upbeat despitethe heat. I can?t say enough about this place. I needed to arrange food for a gathering after my father?s funeral last weekend. I am from... out of town and had no idea where to go. My cousin lives in Ashland and recommended Xerxes. Wow! This food is so good! Everybodyloved it. Ben was super accommodating and generous with the portions. He even delivered everything himself! Beautiful resturant with open kitchen and sundries for sale. Ordered the F-Bomb and the Lamb and Chicken platter. The F-Bomb is... advertised as having extra meat and falafel balls. If this is extra meat I would not order the standard meat gyros. I preferNaan to the tortilla like wrap they use for their gyros. Mine had 1/2 salad inside but it did taste excellent. I think I foundone falafel ball? There taziki sauce is thick and rich and on point. Their spicy sauce is OK, I would get it on the side so youcan control your flavors. The lamb and chicken platter was excellent. It might be enough for two people if they gave you morenaan. I requested extra taziki with the lamb and chicken platter and I?m happy I did. The Gyro was $12, a little to expensivefor what I got. If it was more packed with meat it would have been a good deal. The Lamb and Chicken platter was $19, again alittle expensive but they did give a good portion of delicious lamb and that is expensive stuff. If they gave 2 or 3 pieces ofNaan it would be a fairer deal. Their flavors and spices are great. I will be back, just need to save my pennies for a while. Read more
Delicious Mediterranean food! The owner is super sweet and even gave me his own hot tea. They have a few items from teas, sugar,... spices, oil, rice available for purchase like a middle eastern market which was great! Now to their dishes...we had the beef,shrimp and fish plates.
