My husband made reservations for us to have dinner at this restaurant for Saturday, August 13th at 5:00 p.m. It was to... celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary. In order to make reservations, a credit card was required. He made reservations theday before. Unfortunately, I became ill and we could not go and have dinner there for our reserved time. We both had tried tocall the restaurant several times before 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Finally about 3:00 my husband spoke to a woman who said she couldnot do anything for us and we would be charged $100 on our credit card because we needed to cancel 24 hours in advance. She saidwe needed to go online and cancel the reservation, which we did 2 times. She said she never saw anything from us online. Ieven called about 3:30 and explained the situation to the woman who answered the phone and said I became ill and could not makethe dinner reservation. She said "they had lost a lot of money and people were cancelling right and left and that we would haveto speak to the owner." She asked if we could schedule another time to come to the restaurant and I told her we were leavingthe next day. About 4:00 p.m. we did receive a confirmation email saying our reservation had been cancelled. We assumed thateverything had been taken care of and that our credit card would not be charged. We did want to have our anniversary dinnerthere; unfortunately, I did become ill and we could not make it. We had a valid excuse for not showing up, and we still endedup getting charged $100 on our credit card! I'm sure the restaurant is quaint and very nice with a delicious menu; however, Ifeel this type of customer service is terrible and we will never attempt to go to this restaurant again nor will we endorse thisrestaurant ever. I had to even give this review 1 star in order for this review to post. I don't even want to give them 1star! Terrible customer service and falsely charging our credit card! Beware! Read more

Such a wonderful and warm experience. Be prepared to be welcome and pampered. The fondu, drinks, pretzels, salad are all amazing... but what sets apart is the genuine feeling of hospitality with the server offering suggestions, the chef sending out littleextras. Definitely my favorite place in Aspen. Read more

Amazing Austrian and German cuisine - try the crispy duck. If you like the real thing, this is it. The ambiance and staff are... also authentic. The prices are reasonable for Aspen. They also have a good German wine list. We had a wonderful Riesling. Thekid's menu is a nice touch. Read more

Absolutely delightful. Food was amazing, we got a good spread of everything and it was all brilliant. Duck was a favorite. The... pancake dessert was also suprisingly delicious. Such a cute cozy place. Read more
