Seriously one of the best restaurants in Aspen! The food was divine, the service was amazing and the overall experience was... perfect! We got the tuna tacos and Tataki to start. The salmon, trout, and tenderloin for the main course and the desserts werefreaking phenomenal. Get the royal chocolate cake! They also have a kid's menu (not on their website). Read more

We came during the off season for my birthday and had an incredible, memorable meal. The staff, especially Franco, were so... welcoming and kind and made it a truly special experience. The restaurant itself had an upscale, tasteful feel and the music fitthe mood perfectly. Apps: - The tuna ceviche was perfectly seasoned- just the right hit of heat and acidity to complement thefatty tuna, with loads of lovely fresh greens. - The foie gras with apple chutney was so decadent and actually came with morethan we could eat! - The amuse bouche from the chef was such a fun surprise and very delicious as well. Entrees: - The crispyskin sea bass was cooked beautifully, perfectly flaky and not over salted (to let the fish shine) and the forbidden rice wassublime. - My partner got the duck and it was also cooked and seasoned perfectly. - We decided to add the gratin dauphinois on awhim and basically devoured the whole thing - tender, sliced potatoes cooked in a very rich bechamel sauce with a thin layer oftorched cheese on top. Dessert: - The apple napoleon was the perfect balance between buttery, salty and sweet and the texturewas incredible. - again, the amuse bouche from the chef was unexpected but amazing! We’re food fanatics (I’m pursuing aculinary degree and my partner is a former line cook) and honestly not “Aspen people” but this is definitely a top 5 mealfor us. Thank you, Betula, for a wonderful evening! Read more

A place that doesn’t belong here & where as a soon as you walk into this over rated place you begin to wonder why it was rated... so high. I think they got all there friends & relatives to pair reviews! Don’t waste your time! The service is the worst inany restaurant in Aspen, as soon as you walk in this mean woman who thinks she has a sense of entitlement greets you w/a cold &miserable welcome. She seems to hate her job & hate people just as much & doesn’t want to accommodate any of your requests. Here’s where the bad service begins & it doesn’t end. You sit in a strip mall as you can see in the photo, this is where therestaurant is. The white portion you see on top of the shopping center is the restaurant. The seats are made of hard wood & ifyou have any issues w/sitting forget this place! The most uncomfortable chairs in ALL of Aspen at this over rated establishmentwhere the rude staff is my entitled than the rich customers!! The food is inconsistent one day it will be good & the next timeyou come it’s terrible. Find another place … many great places in Aspen where they welcome you with open arms!! Read more

The cocktail program is stellar~ delicious drinks and amazing stemware~ all served with a disarming smile and genuine sense of... Hospitality and welcome. The wine list is outstanding with great recommendations from an astute sommelier. The menu is diverseand the food excellent, but the service here was some of the very best we’ve ever had. They all made our evening one toremember AND dealt with a challenging customer with amazing grace and aplomb. Plus we loved the beautiful room and the music. Highly recommend, Read more

Usually one of our favorite spots to hit when we’re in town. We always make reservations and gladly give our credit card to... secure the reservation. This time we were sat on time at a beautiful table but much to my surprise the woman next to me had adog in her lap. Not a service dog but her pet. The entire evening was spent with the dog staring at us while we were eating. Irealize I could have asked to be moved but I didn’t want to cause a scene. Once the dog and owner left I brought theuncomfortable situation to the managers attention and said that I would have appreciated being asked if I would mind sittingnext to an animal. The manager proceeded to politely explain the state of Colorado rules to me not knowing I was from Colorado. All this being said, JUST ASK ME if I mind before you seat me next to a dog at dinner! I don’t allow my dog at the table atdinner. Don’t tell me the rules, don’t tell me I should have said something earlier??? I was very polite but was making asuggestion…after all when your spending $500 for 2 people for dinner, I don’t expect to have a dog less than a foot from myarm at table height. I love my dog and take him once and awhile to an establishment that allows pets outside where expectationsare set. Very disappointed in how we were spoken to as it was our fault. However, our server was great and the food wasdelicious so our tip reflected the excellence there. I won’t be recommending Betula in the future Read more
