My dining experience at this diner was one of the worse of my life. The manager and waitress displayed a gross borderline... prejudice attitude towards me from the moment I sat down. From ordering my food and bringing out the wrong thing to theiroverall interaction with me. I could point out other things but I truly try not to play the divisivenesses in this country. Stayclear of this diner. Read more

Came here for breakfast with my husband and 14 month old. A family-friendly restaurant with many high-chairs available. Service... is fast, staff is really friendly. No place for strollers inside, so unless you came with a carrier - you?ll probably be askedto park your stroller outside. It seems that many people (both tourists and locals) come here, so it got busy soon after wearrived ~7:30-8am. Most of the food is okay-good. Probably average Aspen prices (which we?re learning is on the expensiveside). The oatmeal pancakes were ok. Personally I prefer pancakes to be light and fluffy, but since they were considered amust-try, I ordered. My husband liked them much more than I did. I also ordered the avocado & egg dish, which was good but alsomade me sick later in the day. While the food and pricing itself only earns this restaurant 3 - maybe 4 - stars, the service iswhat really shines & brings this restaurant up to 5 stars. Read more

Horrible experience. First there was a hair on a plate. Since the very beginning our server was being so rude and giving us... attitude and pressuring us to hurry up and leave. Do yourself a favor and do not come in here and listen to the other reviews. After that the other plates were flavorless no taste it was disgusting for $20 I was not gonna sit and eat that food. We thentalked to the owner/manager and she got so offensive and kicked us out. She started snapping her fingers, ridiculous way to act.I work at a fine dine restaurant and that was not the way to handle the situation. Plus I know what good food taste like andmore if I?m going to pay $25 for omelet and potatoes. Plus we tried to be nice and finish our pancakes and yet she startedscreaming and that?s when she said to leave. I don?t think people like that should be a manager or owner of a restaurant if yourgoing to act that way towards customers. Read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone. The food was low quality and very overpriced for what it is. Anyone could make this... food at home and save their money. The portions are small and flavors are underwhelming. The coffee was served watery and cold. The side of potatos was undercooked and flavorless. The servers and manger were rude and overall the atmosphere of therestaurant leaves a lot to be desired. There are lots of other restaurants in the area that you should pick instead if you wantat least an average dining experience because Poppycock?s cannot even give you a mediocre one. Read more

Poppycock's is an Aspen breakfast institution. While the pastries at the Aspen Saturday market and Paradise Bakery ALWAYS... beckon, the best place for breakfastis here. Period. While the farmers market convenes only during the summer months andParadise Bakery often closes periodically during the shoulder months, Poppycock's is making waffles and scrambling eggs all yearlong. I applaud their dedication to serving us locals when all the tourists go home. Be sure to order anything that comes withwhipped cream. Their waffles and pancakes are award-worthy. My fav is the oatmeal buttermilk pancakes. The eggs options are goodbut you can get good eggs anywhere. Pile on the calories because it's worth it! The decor is early 1980s, which gives the eateryan authentic Aspen feel. Be sure to check out the photos on the wall. They serve up a visual history of the city and its famousmountain. The best place to eat in the spring, summer and fall is outdoors. The city has transformed the parking spaces onCooper Street in front of the building into restaurant table space. These tables are the most coveted if you want to dine atPoppycock. There is parking but parking in Aspen is always a problem if you don't live there and have a permitted space. Mosthungry guests arrive on foot. Is waiting in the queue worth it? You bet! Read more

Read and had heard about poppycocks famous oatmeal buttermilk pancakes everywhere, so decided to go check them out for myself. I... was afraid they were just being hyped up, but was incredibly pleased when I got them. Super moist on the inside and probably themost unique pancake I've ever had. I can see myself craving this unique recipe on a weekend...much lighter than your usualpancake since it has oatmeal (and healthier i guess? ????). It lives up to the talk (and i cannot say that for all places inAspen), a must when in Aspen. Follow my Google profile for more reviews! Read more

This restaurant has been in Aspen for many years. The food is good, especially the breakfast. The blueberry oatmeal pancakes are... fantastic. Just be careful - they charge a lot separately for every item that you add. If you order an ?everything? omelette- itwill cost you $65! My husband?s uncle did and that?s how much his bill was ???? One time I also asked for an omelette with acouple of extra veggies, and a side of avocado and it was close to $40. They even charged me $4 for a mini container ofsalsa. Beware - order the item from the menu without modifications if you want to pay the price that?s listed. Otherwise, prepare for the most expensive breakfast of your life ???? Read more

Nice, clean dining area with excellent service. The food came out quickly, was hot, and really good. I had the Nutella Banana... crepe and it was wonderful. One of my brothers got the Breakfast Burrito and I sampled some. The salsa was delicious and theeggs were done just right! My other brother got the French toast, and while I didn?t sample it, he said it was good. Thank youfor an excellent meal! Read more
