Yesterday my husband and I enjoyed pasties and dessert at Bucket Bites in Astoria. Not only are the owners extremely talented... pastry chefs, but they are incredibly charming and provide generous and personal service. For 2 years now, Bucket Bites has been one of my go-to spots. Their food is ALWAYS delicious, Chris and Christine and the most... lovely people in the world, and I can honestly say I've tried just about every flavor of pasty and whoopie pie Christine whipsup because they're all worth trying. I love them so much that I even make the drive from Beaverton to Astoria as often aspossible JUST for them... I don't go because it's convenient or on the way, I go because it's THAT GOOD. We stopped here for lunch on our way to the coast. I?m from England and these were the most authentic Cornish pasties I?ve come... across in the US! Really delicious. They make everything, including the pastry fresh and right there on the premises. I lovedthe veggie pasty. The customer service is excellent. The owners who cook and run the place we?re great and suggested a placenear the water where we could eat. Its always nice supporting a small business so give it a go! Read more
