For 2 years now, Bucket Bites has been one of my go-to spots. Their food is ALWAYS delicious, Chris and Christine and the most... lovely people in the world, and I can honestly say I've tried just about every flavor of pasty and whoopie pie Christine whipsup because they're all worth trying. I love them so much that I even make the drive from Beaverton to Astoria as often aspossible JUST for them... I don't go because it's convenient or on the way, I go because it's THAT GOOD. If you've never had apasty, go check them out. If you've had one, trust me when I say you haven't had one like Bucket Bites. If you hate pasties,you've never had one from Bucket Bites. Read more
We stopped here for lunch on our way to the coast. I?m from England and these were the most authentic Cornish pasties I?ve come... across in the US! Really delicious. They make everything, including the pastry fresh and right there on the premises. I lovedthe veggie pasty. The customer service is excellent. The owners who cook and run the place we?re great and suggested a placenear the water where we could eat. Its always nice supporting a small business so give it a go! Read more
This little food cart is a gem! Handmade pastry dough, amazing fillings, super nice people! We went here the first day we... arrived in Astoria, and loved it so much, we almost ordered 1 of everything the following day! 10/10 would recommend! Read more
This is the house that dough and gravy built! Don't be deterred by their small marketing budget, these babies speak for... themselves. With love of the game, these warm, stuffed, stick-to-your-ribs, balls of comfort, will delight your taste buds andfill your belly. The gravy is mandatory, but in this reviewers opinion, it's more of an Au Jus. But whether you french dip, freepour, or sip it like a beafy cocktail, you're going to thank me for the tip. I openly admit, I was slow getting around to thisreview and for that I apologize, some of the details fade, but the energetic and dedicated folks in the kitchen stick out in mymind. They have a passion that I'll remember to come back for. As far as the menu composition, they've got savory, they've gotsweet, they've got limited time items, and they've got my vote! If you visit, be sure to try the BBQ pasties, the Whoopie pie,and the Apple Dumpling. You're welcome. I would give this place a million stars if I could! The couple running this place are the sweetest people! The pasties are... amazing! I have grown up eating pasties. My mom would make us make 20+ several times a year growing up. I hated making them. But loved... eating them. These are even better than the ones I grew up eating... don't tell my mother that though. The gravy makes them.Both gravies are absolutely amazing. I really loved the stamp hill gravy though.
