My friend and I came here based on a recommendation from another friend. Didn't really know what to expect, but the two of us... were very surprised at how much we enjoyed our time here! The beer was sublime and the food even better! I had the salmon fishand chips. I've never had breaded salmon before but honestly it was one of the best tasting meals I've ever had! As for theservice, it was great! Everyone was so friendly and helpful, the only thing that could have been improved is that it seemed likethey were a little understaffed, but that's no big deal anyway! Highly recommend grabbing a bite to eat and a drink here thenext time you visit Astoria! Read more

Good selection of beer and cocktails. We didn't need food on our trip. Bar service was great and our drinks were fine. They... are at the end of a wooden pier with a bay view. Read more

Passing through Astoria, a friend suggested this spectacular location. It can be a bit difficult to find from the street -... there's a sign indicating Pier 39, but all the businesses specified are a bit of a jumble and hard to pick out from behind thewheel. But the location - physically driving out onto a massive pier, is worth the hunt. We opted for outdoor seating, and someof their plastic sheeting was rolled down blocking a portion of the wind, but be aware that even on a warm day, the breeze herecan be chilly. My friend opted for the salmon and chips, while I went with a burger that came with a massive pile of tots. Bothchoices were solid. The menu isn't huge, but I take that as a sign that they concentrate on what they do well. Drinks were thenormal, excellent Rogue offerings. Though this place is named for a river that's pretty far away, it captures Astoriasurprisingly well. While you're here, be sure to wander around the rest of the pier and check out the cannery museum. Best tasting salmon and chips I have ever had. The batter was light and had the best flavor. The chowder had a ton of clams. I... prefer less clams. But most people would love that. Flavor was great! Hubby got those. He gave me a taste. I ordered salmonwith a salad. It also was delicious! Was excellent! Was kind of weird driving on a wood dock to get there. But is holding upwell. Be sure and check out the cannery museum next door before you leave. It is interesting and free! Read more

All I can say is it is amazing and totally worth it!!!! The cheddar bites were the best thing I have eaten in a long long... time!!! All the food was amazing but the cheddar bites were the star!! The fish and chips, tots and steak bites were good too!The beers were amazing and we tried about 4 different ones. You order at the counter and take your table number with you andwait for the food.
