Minus the amazing takeout workers, this experience was awful. My husband stopped by while we were in town visiting my... grandmother. I?m disabled and sick and don?t eat much but I wanted Applebees, so he placed the order and picked up. We eventipped $6 for one meal and a dessert for takeout. He got it home, and it was missing the ice cream so we called to tell them andjust ask for a remake. The manager (Chris) on the phone didn?t believe that my husband was the one that placed the order becausehe?s trans and the pick up name says James. He had to tell him multiple times that he was telling the truth. Then, he suggestedthat we were lying about the ice cream missing and even laughed. I?m sure you guys possibly record phone calls, so you?re morethan welcome to listen. We would never lie about a $6 dessert when we tipped $6 ourselves. The entire exchange was gross. Dobetter. Excellent experience in this restaurant!Applebee's people are generally well trained in customer service but our server Don was... exemplary! Cheery and good-humored, he made our day! He deserves a raise! Every customer he served around us was treated withthe same polite and energetic attention to detail, even to noticing my husband's army retired hat and thanking him for hisservice. Altho quite busy, he did not fail to notice and respond to our need for refills and extra napkins. We'll be back! Read more
We were traveling through and stopped because Applebee's never disappoints. I ordered the Blackened Cajun Salmon with garlic... mashed potatoes and broccoli. It was very good and cooked perfectly. Our server was Tatiana and she was awesome! She was one offour servers for the whole restaurant and she was on top of everything! She is definitely an asset to the Athens Applebee's. Read more
We took my father there for Father's Day...he ordered the full slab of ribs, and extremely enjoyed them. They were fall off the... bone tender and he said they were the best he's ever had. We also ordered the Shrimp dinner and the Chicken and Shrimp plate...everything was wonderful and our server Amber was absolutely amazing!!!!! Read more
We were staying in the Best Western next door and decided we needed real food. We could not have chosen better. The first visit... (because we went both nights we were in town...it was that good!) we had Casey H. in the bar section and when I say she wasphenomenal it might be the biggest understatement ever. Our drinks were made promptly, food delivered quickly, she had the BESTsense of humor and made our visit so enjoyable. I had a question about what oil things were fried in and she didn't hesitate tofind out for me (I have extreme food allergies). The new host at the door was great, too! The second night, we sat at the barand had Amber B. tending to us. She was just as exceptional as Casey had been the night before. Drinks were promptly made, foodorders taken and delivered as quickly as the kitchen could get them out. We even got to say hi to Casey when she stuck her headout from the kitchen. My wife and brother-in-law visited here last Friday night around 4:30. Our server was prompt and polite and professional. We had... the buffalo wings as an appetizer. They were a bit milder than other buffalo wings, which was fine by me! I did tease the MITwhen he came by and asked if everything was good. As the appetizer plate was almost empty, I answered "these wings are horrible!Absolutely pathetic". He had the deer in the headlights look, and I said I'm just kidding, man. Everything is great! The onlycomplaint is the music was a little loud and we were seated right under a speaker. I didn't bother mentioning this because Iknow it's just me, getting old ???? For the entree, we all three had what is advertised in the commercials.
