Mist have caught them short-handed. The place was well-crowded. We weren't sure how the service worked (order at counter, table... service, etc.?). Nearby locals told us just have a seat for table service. We found a table and bussed it ourselves. Wewaited for about 10 minutes. We were never visited by a server, so we left. Read more

There is no place like Dub?s Burgers in Athens or anywhere really! I love coming here when I come home to visit my folks! This... is one place where I never think about calories or diet! Proof of its goodness is that there was a definite crowd. The cookscouldn?t make the burgers fast enough! And for all of you who think a burger is just a burger, let me tell you the burgers atDubs have a slight crispness and they are fresh off the grill. The diner is definitely that hometown feel and the staff aresuper friendly! I feel like a kid when I visit and although no one knows me I still feel the love in Dub?s because they treateveryone like family! Keep up the great service to sweet home Athens, Alabama! Read more

Dub's is a staple. I've been going here since the Greenhaw's owned it. It's not for everyone, especially if you think every... restaurant should look like a 5 star dining. Their burgers are a mix of pork and beef and its greasy food. If you don't likegreasy burgers, there are plenty of places in Athens to get you a dry azz burger... Read more

Drove over from Huntsville and met some Fantasy Baseball buddies for lunch. Great burgers and fries served up quick and hot! ... Had a Sun-Drop to wash it down. Friendly staff as well, highly recommended! Read more

Really a great place to grab lunch if you're in the mood for old school diner style food. The cheeseburger all-the-way is the... way to go. The fries are good and hot, the fried chocolate hand pie was good, and service is always fast and friendly. The placeis from the 60s so factor that in before you decide that the place isn't clean enough for your taste. Read more

This is my favorite place to go eat with my son in Athens. The slaw burgers are awesome and so are the onion rings. My son?s... favorite is the fried chocolate pie. The atmosphere is fun and everyone is friendly. Read more

Okay, this place has... History. It's been here for years, and if you like their food, hats off to you. It's a novel experience,... and I do appreciate the fact it's Very Cheap. If you already eat here, nothing I say is going to convince you to change yourmind. If you're looking for a hole in the wall type local flavor, it's certainly that. Okay. I've been here twice now, andthese are some of the blandest burgers I've ever eaten. I mean, meat wise the patties have less taste than the condiments. Theyare left on the grill so long there's a layer of crispy brown on the top and bottom, while inside is a light grey. They'reextremely greasy, and I genuinely don't know what a fresh cooked patty tastes like as they have a number of them sitting on thegrill, ready to go. No idea how long they've been sitting there, but hey, they're Really cheap. The fries are overcooked, unsalted, and I genuinely believe they need to change out their oil just a little more often. Lastly, I got water, cause I wasbeing just That Cheap. It was a solid cup of ice with some water in it. I'm... Flabbergasted. You doing that with the soda, Iget it, gotta get every penny of profit you can when your whole selling point Is being a cheap place to grab lunch. But doingthat with the water? Oofta guys. If you need a bunch of food for cheap and you have a hankering for a different taste profilethan McDonald's, absolutely come here. Like I said, it's a novel experience, and I'll probably be back, cause sometimes, youjust want a greasy, cheap burger. Read more

One of my favorite spots to eat growing up. Dubs makes one of the best burgers in Athens. It?s so delicious and greasy you can... see through the paper it?s wrapped in! Also, very reasonable prices. If you like to try those ?hole-in-the-wall? typerestaurants this is a great spot with friendly service. Read more
