We haven't been in this location since before the pandemic but have gotten takeout/delivery a couple times. Today going in we... felt that it seemed generally dirty, grimy, and run down. Service was fine, and the food, though greasy, was acceptable, untilafter a few bites my son found a fried whole roach in his fries. Needless to say we were completely grossed out and couldn'ttouch another bite. The waitress and manager were both very apologetic and immediately comped the meal. I think finding a roachin your food is probably the worst thing that can happen at a restaurant and a sign of bigger cleanliness issues. I can'timagine ever eating here again. Read more

I have 20 years of service industry experience. Cooked, managed, and served. And I kid you not, I will be sitting there minding... my own business at the bar and I can?t help but notice one of your workers killing it. She?s a manager named Alonna, and she isworth three employees with her work ethic. Tbh she should never be question if she works because one hour her work is some goodquality work. Shout out to Mallory she has great customer service skills. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to have anice relaxing time and see some games at the bar. 10/10. My new go to for my shrimp craving fix. The grilled shrimp plate is a recent addition to the menu, and it is wonderful! Large... shrimp, large portion, not over cooked or dry. There's a yummy dipping sauce, but you don't need it, as they're grilled in abuttery seasoning. There's probably about 8 large shrimp, no skimpy little appetizer size portion, leaving one craving more.Consistently good the 3 times I've had the dish. Comes in fried also. I got broccoli and black beans. Their broccoli is less dryand blah since they've started putting a bit of butter or oil on it. The black beans are also more stepped up. A little tomatotype sauce added, but not as decadent and sweet as baked beans, and tastes homemade. The oregano garlic bread is yummy, butmakes us both burp. I eat it anyway, usually. Acoustics can be loud if people are there. Ask for a booth on the left side. Beengoing there for years. Service never a problem. They're college kids. I went in on a Sunday, so they were understandably more busy than normal. The Bartender was the best part of my visit.... Spectacular service from her. The food took about 35 minutes to arrive (takeout). Which is fine because I had the time. Duringthis time however I saw about 5 employees touching their face, then handling food. Then you had a few taking about coworkersrather loudly? what got me was the girl in the red shirt and the baseball cap talking about another girl and the way she didsomething. It was unprofessional and unnecessary, especially when the place is slammed and your not helping your coworkers. Thefood was mediocre at best. I have food allergies, and I know that they can?t guarantee no cross contamination. I?ve never had aproblem until today?s order. I should?ve known with it being that busy and seeing what I saw, that I would do better to goelsewhere. I wish I had because now I?m pretty sick. I know better next time. Service was fast,like super fast. Our server was nice and helpful. We had 1/2 order of pickle chips which was really good. I'm a... big fan of pickle chips but cannot stand the battered or over breaded ones. These were good! We also had the Cobb salad and acheese burger that was a 1/2 lb! Both were delicious. Wow wow wow. I am SO impressed with this place! My husband and I decided to dine here last minute and it was the best choice! We... haven?t had a great experience in Athens dining, but this restaurant is now my favorite. Great and quick service and food wasdelicious! I had such a hard time choosing what to order bc everything sounded so good. My husband got the Fried Shrimp Po BoySandwich - it was delicious along with the Cajun fries and pickle. I ordered blackened teriyaki salmon with a loaded bakedpotato and side salad (that was a giant bowl of salad)! EVERYTHING was delicious and I can?t wait to go back and try theirshrimp tacos and other items! This was the best experience we?ve had at any restaurant in Athens with food and service.
