First time going to a Mellow Mushroom. Ordered two pies. Both were made incorrectly. Wasn?t just a small mistake either. The two... cooks in the kitchen looked like they didn?t care and clearly showed that on making horrible pizzas. Our server was friendly, sonothing to complain about her. Though she did say she let the manager know about the two pizzas being made wrong, yet they neverdecided to come to our table to apologize. Pizza itself was just okay. Way too much dough and mellow red sauce is not thatgreat. If the manager came over to acknowledge their mistake I would give another chance but they seemed to not care that theyprovided a bad first experience. Read more

I stopped by on Saturday and I just have to give so much praise to this place. The food was delicious and the service was even... better. The waitress, I believe her name was Katie, was incredible, I never even had to ask for refill!! Honestly, I wasn'thaving that great of a day and she was able to turn it around with her kind words and actions. Thanks Mellow for having the bestatmosphere and best staff in Athens!! Go Dawgs!! I am really disappointed with my experience and how the management addressed it. I went to mellow mushroom for trivia night and... I left my prescription Ray-Ban sunglasses (worth $250+) on the table when I left. When I called the restaurant to look for them,I was first told that the Ray-Bans had been turned in and that they were left at the hostess stand. When I went to get mysunglasses the following afternoon, the hostess that was working at that time could not locate the sunglasses. He told me thathe had seen them at the hostess stand when he closed the night before but today they were gone. He messaged the opening hostesswho said they did not see the sunglasses when they opened the restaurant. Normally when I leave something behind at arestaurant or venue, if it is never found, I do not question it. However in this case it seemed very strange to me that thesunglasses had been turned in, had been left in an employee area, and had it confirmed by several staff members that thesunglasses were there when they closed the restaurant, but then the opening staff claimed to not have seen them. I talked tothe manager and I told her that I would normally not accuse someone of this, but this specific situation seemed to me like oneof the employees had stolen my sunglasses. The manager simply told me that she agreed and that it seemed like one of theemployees probably took them. She did not offer to do anything about it and when I asked if she would question her employees shesaid she?d try to ask around but she kind of shrugged it off and didn?t seem to think it was very serious. If my sunglasses hadjust gone missing that would be one thing, but getting acknowledgment that a staff member at this establishment likely stolethem and have management do absolutely nothing about it was very shocking to me. Took my daughter from Illinois to eat here she loved it
I've been to several Mellow Mushroom locations before now, but really liked the look, atmosphere and overall location of this... one. It's located right in the heart of Downtown Athens and has a tall and open feel. The servers were very attentive andfriendly and were quick on orders. As a side note, I ordered a LIl Greek and forgot how big those were because I was practicallyfull by the time my pizza came out! Great place to stop for a drink and meal when in Athens. Read more
We had such a great experience. We were kinda late getting there and Kasey took such great care of us. It was also my Daughters... birthday, so she gave my girls each a cookie and one of their in-house Popsicles. The food was awesome and I'm telling you allKasey was wonderful!!!
