Great experience and very nice seating area on the open patio. The server was great and so was the food. I had the Lux burger... and an apple ale on tap from the local brewery Jackie-O's, which I highly recommend. It's also very convenient having a fullrestaurant and bar inside the hotel. It's only a 3-5 minute bus ride or 10-15 minute walk to the Ohio University campus as well. Read more

I’ll start off by saying we were probably the last people to dine in for the night since it was late. The service was good and... the food was decent but not $130 decent by any means. My shrimp had cold spots same as my sausage. My wife’s steak looked likesomething from Texas road house and was cooked medium when we asked for medium rare. We stopped in for a birthday, it was my party's first time there. From the moment we got there we should have known to leave.... The bread course was flat overworked biscuits. They were out of several dishes we wanted to order. We ordered two cocktails andbasically received juice, the weakest drinks we have been served. They tried to serve the vegan in our party real chicken aftershe repeatedly specified she was ordering the vegan version. The birthday person and myself ordered the oyster po'boy, what wereceived was not a po'boy, it was over-fried oysters on a sunbeam bun, with limp iceberg lettuce and a gritty tomato. Themacaroni and cheese was extremely bland and the one served to my spouse was literally burnt to a crisp. The tavern fries werealso overdone and bland. The entire time we were there the power kept surging (and the weather was mild with some rain and verysoft thunder), you'd think they'd have a backup generator. Quite frankly, the birthday was ruined. It was wildly overpriced forwhat we received, I would expect this from a food truck not an upscale restaurant setting. Read more
