Bartender is TERRIBLE! Dude on Monday nights - do not order anything that requires more than one substance in a glass. The rest... is way too hard for him. He also NEVER stops talking. Good luck getting his attention. The waiter Chase, was wonderful! Hepresented himself with more confidence and professionalism than the manager Don as well. The manager walked up to our table andspoke to us with his hands jammed down into his pockets the entire time. Then down played the complaint about the awfully madedrinks from his terrible bartender. We had a large group, 10 people. We were lucky enough to be seated right away the waiter was a nice young man. He got all of our... drinks and food correct. The dinners all seemed to be great. We ordered a variety of plates off the menu. From salmon to ribs,steak and chicken with shrimp. Our table also had burgers and more I never heard a complaint about the food. Service was verygood and the restaurant was busy because of a college football game. We would definitely like to come back for more familydinners. We let the waiter know this was a birthday dinner, so a group of workers sang happy birthday! It was so much fun.......Where we were seated was at a higher level. There was a ramp to get to that level. Very good for our visit. A member of ourdinner party uses a walker so having the wheelchair ramp was great! Read more
A friend and I dine together every other Thursday. She lives in Athens and can't get out much so we order take out. Last night... we had Applebee's oriental chicken salads. I don't mind paying for a meal if it's good. We agreed it was the worst one we hadever gotten there. It was smaller than usual, mostly greens. The bread that we have always enjoyed snapped when we broke it. Weactually sprinkled water on it, wrapped it in foil and heated it slightly. That didn't work to soften it up. We were hungry andhad anticipated a yummy salad with fresh bread. We were very disappointed. It was a waste of our money. I don't usually postreviews. I felt the need to let you know on this one. It was a salad, I would think that would be hard to mess up. We decided wewouldn't do that again,. That's how bad it was. Read more
Good foods we get 2 for $30..it's very worth it for the price
Easy in and out just off I75 makes this a favorite for folks passing thru town who need a quick, not fast food, bite to eat.... Locals gather here too as an after work watering hole and gives the place a "neighborhood" feel. Food is same as any Applebeesand the wait staff courteous and attentive. Picky's Recommendation: if you just want a quick bite, order the side of Mac &Cheese and an order of boneless buffalo wings. When they come, cut up some of the boneless bites and mix into your M&C. Ifyou've never had buffalo Mac & Cheese, this is a simple way to get it even if not on the menu and it will taste good. Read more
Ordered pick up. Food prepared and ready on time. Web site does not give option to request sweet or unsweetened tea with lunch... special so you automatically get unsweet...yuck! That was however, quickly resolved. I ordered the club and fries. The bread wasso saturated with the butter oil that my napkin looked like a grease rag from just wiping my mouth and hands. It looked like Ihad cleaned the grill. The fries were under cooked and soggy in just the 3 to 4 minute ride back to my office. Read more
Is Applebee's is one of the best I've been to in recent history. The bartender was awesome, the appetizers (chicken quesadilla... and spinach artichoke dip) were awesome, and my steak was on point. I would highly recommend this Applebee's in AthensTennessee! Read more
The service was great! Best service staff in the area, definitely 5 star. The food quality not so much. Other than one steak of... the four plates which he described as perfect, all of the rest was very overcooked. There were 2 servings of fries which wereovercooked, but also we're obviously very old. We may go back for drinks sometime, the front staff is great! But we willdefinitely never take guests there for dinner again. Read more
