Our usual donut shop (close to the house) was closed so we found this shop. I?m a visitor to Athens and this shop is a little... hard to see from the street (if you?re unfamiliar with the town you might miss it) but GPS picks it up just fine. Service wasexcellent and the donuts were great. My only issue is that my granddaughter wanted a breakfast sandwich and they don?t makethem at Daylight Donuts. Still?.. great place. Read more

I have never had a negative experience at Daylight Donuts. This morning, I had a chance to stop and get donuts but I was very... disappointed because the Bavarian cream in the donuts tasted slightly soured. Couldn?t eat it. At all. The rich, very rich, poor, and in between come to Daylight Donuts for a pretty good sugar fix. Of course, you can go to Star... Donuts on Corsicana but this is a tradition. Bill Clements always grabbed a dozen for himself w/o Rita needing to find out as hedrove back to the house. Read more

I think the original recipe has been changed. When they were down the block (about 30) years ago) at least 20 cars in line to... get fresh donuts on Saturday or Sunday...just not the same. Read more

For years we have searched for anyplace that has donuts that would come close to the donuts from 'Daylight' in Athens. There's no others that can compare. I grew up eating daylight donuts. I live elsewhere now and still have yet to find a donut... shop as good. The cinnamon bear claw was my favorite! The pigs in the blanket were also very good. Read more
