Café intermezzo?s food has definitely changed and not for the better. I should have researched their dinner menu before... arrival, I figured it?s Cafe Intermezzo, I?ll always find something good. Three stars one for excellent customer service, onefor desserts and coffee and one for ambiance (it?s always that lovely old world classic European charm). For a Sunday night at8pm there was oddly a wait for table as they observe strict social distancing, however I didn?t mind because I like eating atthe bar. (Also I?d rather not have have someone sneezing and not covering right next to me.) The dinner menu was disappointingas a menu with the selections as I was expecting a more French European menu given the name. I?ve been coming to Intermezzo forthe past twelve years. Now it?s more of a mix of random café food that you could probably find anywhere. I was expecting adinner menu as coq au vin, steak frites, possibly a duck confit or at the very least Steak au Povire with haricot vertes(peppercorn steak & green beans). Unfortunately we were out of luck there was no such thing on the menu. The only dish whichresembled some thing that could be French was the salmon dish with herb garlic butter however this included mussels which is avery confusing pairing. (Why would one combine a creamy and not salty fish with some thing that was salty?) I chose theseemingly least problematic dish, the appetizer mussels without tomatoes. Unfortunately this was disappointing b/c of a verysalty broth more like a puddle (most likely not enough water). The assumption is if I had left in the tomatoes, which I do noteat because of it?s inflammatory properties, it might have cut the salt. Also considering it was a mussel dish, a simple garlic, herbs au Provence, shallots with white wine would have brought out the flavor of the seafood. Maybe the chef was upset or washaving an off night? My friend ordered the Chicken Florentine which actually was good and she liked it because she ad Read more

Best cafe - for the date night. Rustic interiors with interesting paintings and soothing Ambience. They have enmorous varieties... of cakes and pastries . There's a bar counter and dining area, with lots of seating tables indoor and outdoor. It's a perfectplace for a date or on dinner nights. Read more

Definitely pricey. But the high cost is for the ambiance and rich vibes. Great for dates or pregame before heading to dinner.... Their cakes might be a lil too sweet though so warning ahead. But drinks esp Brandy was tasty and not too strong. Read more

They were busy and appeared to be short-staffed, so we had to wait probably 30+ minutes for a patio table but we weren't in a... rush so that was okay. Our server was obviously stressed but did a great job and was very attentive. We shared thespinach/artichoke dip, a slice of Tres Leches cake and a slice of Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup cheesecake. Perfect end to anice Saturday! Great dessert spot! Read more

First the ambience is a 5. It's easy to imagine yourself in France or Italy at a sidewalk cafe. The music loud enough to set a... mood but not too loud to prevent talking. The service a 4. Very friendly staff and mostly attentive but had to twice ask torefill water and get salt and pepper. The food a 5. The French toast with bananas and pecans was to die for. If you like yourFrench toast doughy yet crispy and buttery and flavorful, then you know what I mean. The open face croissant sandwich was tasty, though the scrambled eggs were a little dry. The seafood croissant was light and fluffy but could use a little more seasoning. The rosemary potatoes were flavourful and well seasoned. Overall a grand experience and we will be back. Read more

Beautiful ambiance, especially on days with milder weather where you can sit out on the patio. If you come at night, it's a more... romantic vibe with dim candle lit lighting. Intermezzo has been a stable date night spot for so many in the atl area. This is mypreferred location because I like the easy parking and the spread out seating. Food and drinks and over priced and you'reessentially paying for the environment but I still find myself coming back time and time again. Read more

I absolutely love Cafe Intermezzo! I feel like I?ve escaped to another city each time I visit. I love the ambience, soft music... playing in the background, drinks and sweets! This is the perfect location for date night, grabbing drinks with friends, meetingup with work colleagues or just enjoying an evening solo. I?ve visited the midtown location, my favorite is the Dunwoody due tothe convenient parking and it?s not too crowded. Try the espresso martini when you visit - you won?t be disappointed! Read more

The cafe it's beautiful, ate dessert after 9pm. Server 5 star, nice, attentive, and loved that she asked about allergies. I... definitely agree with other reviews hot chocolate is not good. Stay away from hot chocolate. Strawberry crepe was good. Did notlike blackout mountain torte, seemed plain. Read more
