I am obsessed. I stopped in Atlanta for the night while driving through and after looking online for breakfast spots this is... what we decided on. I was expecting a classic diner with old guys sitting at a counter giving me weird looks for my tattoos butit ended up being an alternative style diner. There were amazing art pieces for sale, which I definitely bought, and the foodwas amazing. The waffle tasted like funnel cake which was different but so good. The syrup was the best I've ever had and thebiscuits and gravy were top notch. I normally have to salt and pepper it but theirs had so much flavor. I hope I get a chance togo back because it was so good. The staff was also super nice. Read more

Worth the wait. We waited outside for around 20 minutes as it drizzled. The picnic tables were shared by multiple families. The... atmosphere was upbeat and friendly. Our names were announced via speaker when our table was ready. Inside is an amazingexperience of Atlanta culture, that was a mix between hippie chic and yard hoarder fancy. The coffee was served piping hot so becareful! I mixed with chocolate syrup to make a mocha coffee. We enjoyed a skinny chicken plate that was served with freshspinach which was absolutely wonderful. I favored the turkey round sausage over the chicken link sausage. My highlights are thegrits and home fries which I opted to add the peppers and onions, and the pancake was big enough for the 3 of us to enjoy andtasted like heaven. Despite me not trying to eat at the same restaurant twice, this one will be revisited by me OVER and OVERagain! Atlantalicious Read more

Sat at the bar and the service was great and the waiters were super attentive! The menu has something for everyone including... vegetarians and vegans. I got the vegetarian biscuits and gravy and it was fantastic! The portion is actually pretty large forhow cheap it is. Definitely going to come back and try some of the other options. Read more

Came here Saturday to grab a late breakfast before heading out of Atlanta and I'm glad I did. The place had a long wait but... since I was by myself I was able to sit at the bar. Staff were friendly and took my order and I was surprised how quickly theygot it out that's usually a bad sign but definitely not here. I got the Comfy biscuit and it was super good. Can't wait toreturn here! Read more

Homegrown GA: where hospitality meets quality This bustling Atlanta suburb diner has been a staple in the community for... generations it seems. From the moment you pull up, you can see what to expect. Old school restaurant, friendly staff and a smallbut thorough menu. Breakfast is served all day, and to be honest it?s substantial enough to carry you all day. Ask for thehouse special and you?ll be offered ?The Comfy?. An open faced chicken biscuit with fresh sausage gravy on top. Add a side ofpotatoes if you like, but by no means is it necessary. Don?t be discouraged by a wait, it moves quick and won?t leave youdisappointed. Enjoy some coffee, the nostalgic signs and art that fill the walls, the friendly conversation with staff and theamazing smells coming out of the kitchen. In short, this is a must go when in Atlanta. The food was great with large portions. Lots of things to choose from. I got the comfy chicken biscuit and it was delicious.... They had breakfast all day and brunch while we were there. Also got the ruffles and onion dip which I've never seen at arestaurant. Had to get it just because. It was really good too. My son ate most of it before I could take a pic. Read more

New to Atlanta and had a friend visiting from DC this weekend so we wanted to find a good spot for breakfast and this place did... not disappoint. It?s a cute little eclectic spot with a great brunch menu. We did have to wait 20-30 minutes for a seat but itwas well worth it. We started with fried green tomatoes which were delicious. I had the fried chicken and waffles, the portionsize was perfect and both items were very tasty. The others with me had the biscuits and gravy, basic breakfast and friedchicken biscuit. The only thing I wouldn?t recommend was the pancake, it was huge and looked good but tasted a little spongy. Someone?s French toast that went by looked amazing so I will try that next time for sure.
