This was my first time visiting Roc South and I went on my lunch break. I apologize for the pictures taken at work, but... listen…. Great customer service from the moment I called my order in to the moment I picked my order up. The quality andquantity exceeded my expectations. The salmon was cooked perfect and seasoned well. The shrimp appetizer was delicious anddifferent. The cabbage good as well. The Mac and cheese is cheesy and creamy but could use some flavor. Overall, goodexperience and I will be back and recommend. Me and hubby meet here on a Wednesday for a date day at 1. I was greeted in parking lot with valet parking. The parking was... complimentary, but I still tipped. My husband drove his pickup truck so he did self-parking. The host was nice and seated usimmediately. Plenty of seating steady but not busy. Great ambiance! We ordered the sampler seafood egg rolls (tasted reallygood) , blackened salmon pasta (extra sauce $2), yams and braised turkey wings, peas and yellow rice. 2 lemon drop martinis. ALLthe food came out super quick!! My husband loved his meal (turkey wings, peas and yellow rice) however I didn't my pasta saucewas watery and not seasoned well. It tasted watered down. Oh my gosh everything I had was so good. The Mac and cheese 10 out of 10 the catfish and lamb chops were BOMB. Customer service... is good and valet is a plus. You may have to wait for a bit but it’s worth it. I didn’t try the desert but the table nextto us said it was great. Another good blacked owned establishment. Read more
This was our first time at this establishment. Valet parking can be hectic. I would suggest arriving early for your reservation.... Even though we came on time for our reservation we still had to wait. It wasn’t a huge deal but we still had a waiting time.Our server Paige was great! She was super nice and gave great suggestions! My husband got the southern fried chicken withcollard greens and yams and I got the curry vegetable bowl. The curry was okay. It’s wasn’t the worst or the best. I thinkit needed more seasoning. However due to my food allergy this was the only item I could get on the menu that was dairy free andI’m glad they could accommodate that! The drinks were okay. They were really sweet and syrupy. This was my second time eating at this establishment. The first time I visited I had the seafood gumbo. This time, I had the... blackened salmon Alfredo. Although I got full off of my appetizer, the main entree was so good! I gave it four stars because myfriend ordered cabbage as a substitute for collard greens, and received said collard greens. Upon realizing this error, thewaiter brought out my friend’s cabbage. Nevertheless, I rate it four stars because of this. Attention to detail is everything.The service was great otherwise! Roc South Cuisine, was picked randomly while in Atlanta. Parking was a challenge. Upon walking inside the establishment, we... were greeted immediately and seated quickly. We ordered multiple items to try. My favorite was the salad that came with thecrab cake and the yams. Everything else was "SUPER" average.. Oops, the seafood dip was good and the Mac-N-Cheese. I cant believe I never wrote a review and been here several times! I think it’s because the food is so good by the time I... remember about a phot its already gone! Roc South is easily one of my favorite comfort food spot in the A! They neverdisappoint! It’s the consistency for me! Every-time I visit I order the Fried Chicken with Greens( AMAZING) and Candied Yams(Literally someones granny in the back making!! The fried chicken is always cooked to perfection and is covers in a little spicyhoney dressing! Bomb.com! I clear my plate every time!! I also would recommend the Crab cakes, Gumbo, lamp-chops and theAlfredo! Honestly you can close your eyes and pic something and would still be happy! Be prepared to wait if you don’t have aRSVP! There is no downtime here! They are packed everyday!! The drinks are great the staff is friendly and attentive, and thelocation is a vibe! 10/10 Read more
We had a nice time here we got here right at 11:15am and the wait wasn't bad at all. The food came out hot and fresh. I had the... salmon cakes and my husband had the catfish there could have been another piece of fish on that plate he definitely wasn't fulllol. Overall great experience definitely will return.
