Third time is definitely not the charm. This was our third visit and will unfortunately be our last. What started as a fun,... eclectic restaurant has become so overpriced and underwhelming that it’s almost criminal. My friends and I were shocked whenwe got a bill for $850 for 4 people relative to the food and service we got. Granted, we spent $230 on wine, but still. Firstcourse was toast with some beef tartare - fine but generally a piece of white bread and a little tartare. Next was pasta andscallops. Good but small serving. Third was either duck or an up-charge for steak. 3 of the 4 of us went for the up-charge. Foranother $19 per, we were graciously provided with 2 small pieces of beef, which probably weighed 3.5 oz and had 1/3 fat. Dessert was amazing and well put together. The service was awkward at best and very spotty. Hate to be writing this as used tolove this place, but it’s not remotely worth what they are charging now. My friends and I all said we wished we had just hadwings 2 doors down, which none of us would ever typically say. This isn’t about being able to afford it, it’s aboutreasonable value for the $ and Southern Belle falls super short on that front these days. Read more

The best meal I've had in years. Unpretentious fine dining with excellent service and absolutely mouth-watering, awe-inspiring... dishes. I don't really have the words to fully describe the depth and quality of each course, but they were all very masterfuland a delight to experience. The four-course tasting menu left us very full and extremely satisfied. We opted for thewine-pairing, but in retrospect, I think I would have preferred to stick to wine by the glass. I don't have a super refinedpalette for fine wine, but two of the four wine pairings didn't taste great to me. Considering the pairing price, it was theonly piece of the experience that missed the mark for me. Regardless, the food was so excellent that my experience with the winepairing doesn't impact my overall impression. I can't wait to go back and would highly recommend it. Read more

Came here on a whim for a solo early birthday dinner. The service was incredible, the food was delicious and the tasting menu... was a perfect way to spend a Saturday night. I was impressed at how clever the dishes were and enjoyed being brought along onthe journey the chef designed. Read more

I’m visiting from a foodie city and man oh man, SB did not disappoint. The service was warm and so knowledgeable and the... dishes and pairings were just brilliant. Layers on layers of flavor that unfolded like a great perfume. A great place for acelebration dinner, and they accommodated my wheat allergy expertly and gracefully ( I gave them the requested ahead of timenotice, make sure to do the same!). I in no way felt that I was missing out on a thing, which is a rarity when I eat out at anupscale place (I always have bread and sauce jealousy but not here!). The atmosphere was fun and comfy and so, so cute. What agreat little hidden gem! Read more

I decide to get my friends to try a different spot over the weekend and to our surprise this was one secretly amazing spot. Four... course test menu deliciously well prepared and great presentation, amazing ambiance and quality of service. But above all thefood was just amazing. We didn’t do the wine peering with food but everything that was brought to our table was just amazingand we all enjoyed it. For sure to come back here again. I would recommend the 90-Day- Aged Ribeye. Our next try is Georgia Boywhich is their sister restaurant. Cheers, BN Read more

This was unforgetable experience at @Suthern Bell restaurant in Ponce De Leon, Atlanta. I was invited there to celebrate my... birthday last weekend and it was fun. 7 course meal with wine parings to the each presentation was exellent. The food wasunexpected and very tastly with some gourmet additions to it like osetra caviar or foie gras... The sommelier has presented agreat variety of different wines and a knowladge of the region that the grape comes from. Highly recommended. PS: warning forthose who expect not to pay a lot. But it worth it. Read more
