So to be very honest, I’m only giving it a 2 because the employees were pleasant. I originally ordered Turkey wings , waited... in my car for curbside & the wings never came out. So I walked in only to find out there were NO Turkey wings at all. So no onecontacted me to let me know that - I was just sitting there in the parking lot, that’s number one! Now on to the actual plateI did get, the food was not good at all. I could tell that the ribs had been cooked somewhere else, brought to the venue toserve & reheated several times as customers purchased rib dinners, they were tough. The collard greens taste like they werecanned greens & had sugar in them . The muffin was not cornbread, tasted very much like cake. The dressing was ok, I wasunderwhelmed & I thought the gravy would make it better but, it was bland. Last but not least, the fried chicken was friedbeautiful golden brown, nice size cut wings - only for me to pick up the wing & smell fried fish! I could see the cornmeal onthe wings which let me know it was fried in the fish grease. So I took a bite & I was exactly right. The banana pudding Ipurchased for dessert, I have not opened but I’m almost sure it’s not homemade now that I’ve experienced everything else.For the cost of $29 , I was so so disappointed & I will never purchase anything again. This was my first time trying this restaurant, I ordered surf and turf. I was pleasantly surprised as it arrived as hot as it... would have had they delivered it to our table the food did not have a Southern Kitchen taste. The fish was fresh, crispy on theexterior fluffy inside & had a good taste. The wings while fresh were very mild in seasoning, my side of broccoli casserole wasvery tasty yet the garlic mashed potatoes which seemed to have been fresh (from scratch) yet, did not necessarily have remnantsof garlic & for sure no butter lastly they were bland. I eat here often the food is normally good. I went on Friday ordered two fish meals when I arrived home my fish & candy yams was... burnt. This is what turned me off with this business I called left them a message letting them know to call me back because myfood is burnt I live 15 minutes away. Not one manager called back to apologize for the food I couldn't eat. They lost a customerI will not support a business who doesn't give good customer service. Read more

I've been before a while ago and really enjoyed it. This time unfortunately I can't say the same. I ordered the brisket and it... was not good. The sides were on point, but the brisket was just not up to par. I asked if I could exchange for another meat andwas told the manager would have to approve and he wasn't there. The food just wasn’t good. Ordered brisket dinner and catfish dinner. Brisket dry and flavorless, BBQ sauces weren’t the... best. Cornbread was dry and flavorless. Mac&Cheese was too cheesy and greasy which made the noodles into mush. Yams were ok.Cobbler cheesecake was gross. Peach bread pudding was also gross. Catfish was good though, best part of the meal. The catfish dinner was very tasty, however when I called to place a pick up order the woman who answered the phone was rude. I... ignored this thinking “maybe she is having a bad day “. I understand because we all have bad days. When I place the orderonline I was provided with an order number. I arrived to pick up my food and a light skin woman with braids asked for a name Icommunicated that I wasn’t asked to give my name for the order. She then goes on to ask “Is it your food ?” I said yes andshe says with an attitude “So what’s your name ?”. I had to pause instead of addressing her nasty attitude I gave my name…..which wasn’t even on the bag a nick name was. This hidden gym is awesome! Customer service is great! Good hearted and genuine people, you can feel their energy it's... contagious. Now for the food, beyond delicious I love the catfish and the chicken wings. We ordered the honey butter muffins,the catfish meal, the chicken tender basket, A side order of the black eyed pea's, as well as we try the mac & cheese, collardgreens, and the candied yams. All did not disappoint by any means! I love the candied yams, those are my favorite. We also trythe pineapple lemonade and got a gallon it was gone in two days! Now for the deserts, we tried the sweet potato cheesecake,birthday cake cheesecake, and the carrot cake. Let's just say we ate all 3 that day! The sweet potato cheesecake was somethingamazing . Did I mention our food was ready for pick up at the exact time it said it will be ready. They even carry the food toour car and help me, since we ordered enough for an entire family.
