I give 1 star because, unfortunately, reviews can't be less than 1. It's very sad, I used to love this place and the food WAS... great and I ate there regularly. Recently, I've noticed that there has been two separate new owners in the last 2 years. And ithas went downhill ever since. My last experience I went in and no one was in the restaurant other than a bartender, a serverand 1 customer at the bar. The server greeted me at the door and told me to sit wherever I like, so I sat down at a high toptable, and remained there for at least 20 minutes with nothing. No one came to get my drink order and NO ONE else spoke to methe rest of the time that I sat there. I finally got fed up and just walked out. $3 Cafe is one of my favorite places to eat,unfortunately I will never eat at this Chamblee location again. Note to owner if you buy a restaurant, make sure you hire staffthat are actually there to work and take care of your customers. Read more

Date night. First time at this location. First time ever being at a $3 Cafe. Located off of Chamblee Tucker exit from 285 South.... When you get off the exit go right and the shopping mall is on your right. You'll see the $3 Cafe is located next door to a poolhall. First appearances, it was very nice from the outside they have a balcony and the music selection was pretty good. When wewalked inside there are billboards with drink specials food specials plastering the walls and you mainly see the highboy tables.There are some lower regular size tables closer to the front of the restaurant. They also have an upstairs area that's thebalcony and it's outside. Too hot to do that in the summer in Georgia. Very nice vibe our waitress was very nice and friendly,it wasn't too crowded, so all the staff was helping each other and they were all pretty nice. There are TVs mounted on the wallsand the bar and of course they were playing sports. The food was very good. The sampler was so big that we couldn't eat it all.The chicken tenders were moist and tender and delicious. The mozzarella sticks were so big it was ridiculous. The wings weregood, it was more food than we expected and the nachos were amazing. You get served on a little tray so there's plenty of roomto make a mess if you need to. Didn't get a chance to sample the drinks but I'm sure they're just as good as the food. The musicselection was everything from royals to rocket Man to Bone thugs. It was a very eclectic playlist with every genre even country.I enjoyed it very much. The bathroom is located on the end of the bar. My son and daughter in law were moving to Atlanta and we wanted to give them a nice farewell meal. Little did we know this... place turned out to be amazing. We sat outside on the upper deck and the food and the service was excellent. Our waiter Marcelwas by far one of the best waiters I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Convenient location with ample parking. Fun place with plenty of good choices. Everything I tried is good, not necessarily... healthy but most definitely good. It seems small from the outside but it?s a large place and can accommodate big groups. Theirstaff is very attentive and the service is excellent. $$ Read more
