No one greeted us properly when we entered. Three women standing/sitting at the front desk who looked like they wanted to be... anywhere but there. The Salmon made us sick later that night. The pork chops were delicious. Our waitress was awesome! Thedrinks were phenomenal! The parking is HORRIBLE! The atmosphere was nice with the Christmas lights and holiday decorations. All in all just ok. I was trying to impress someone for their birthday and was just a little disappointed. Read more

We rented out the carriage house for a dinner party. Was amazing. Food, staff, location. Parking wasn't the easiest,... ended up across the street. But overall, a wonderful night Read more

Reminiscent of a Vermont country inn, the Colonel Blackinton Inn was absolutely charming and beautiful. The selection of menu... items and drinks was great and I was not disappointed with my choices. It is definitely a great place to celebrate any occasionand especially during the Fall season. Read more

First time here for a work-related dinner. Service was fantastic, but the food was not. There were plenty of choices including... much seafood. Most entrees were priced around $20 and up. Seasonal and daily specials. An extensive drink menu is offered. I'm apicky eater, and I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. Can't go wrong, right? My burger was dry and too small for the bun. Fries werewarm on the outside, but raw and crunchy on the inside. A coworker ordered the same meal, and his came out the same way. Thisplace is rustic and fancy at the same time, and I can see the attraction to come here to dine. But for me, didn't taste rightand there were too many different plates and forks. Too fancy and over-priced for my taste. Read more

Made reservations for 5 pm on Sunday evening. We were told they were closing early (7pm) for vacation. Call came at 4:20 pm... Sunday cancelling our reservation. Very disappointed!! Thought this was a better restaurant that we have enjoyed over the years. This was classless. To follow up; spoke with Kim and explained why we were so upset. She apologized and sent us a generous giftcard. We couldn't spend our anniversary at Blackinton but we will certainly enjoy another visit here. Thank you again. Read more

The entire place is historic and beautiful! Fantastic serving staff - detail oriented and excellent experience and coordination... by the kitchen - I have the highest accolades for Leandra - a phenomenal professional who quite literally, handled a party ofover 16 demanding people in an eloquent and courteous manner - never losing her cool - not once!!! I enjoyed the fried goatcheese on spinach salad with the filet as the main and carrot cake for dessert. I ordered medium plus and it was literallycooked to perfection. Each meal course was delicious! I am so impressed with the entire experience and will return again! Read more
