Great BBQ place within easy walk to the University. It had the classic BBQ atmosphere but a little confusing about seating.... There were no directions but you have to go to the counter and order, then seat yourself. Overall, it was a very good experiencewith good food. Read more

Delcious BBQ in a fun atmosphere. I always look forward to the chance to go to Moes for BBQ. The location downtown is also nice... because when you are finished eating you can enjoy all the other nice shops that are close by. Highly recommend. Read more

I get there and the bartender gives my friend a menu and asks him what kind of drink he would like and gets him his beer. I ask... for a menu and she tells me to read the menu on the wall... she gives him a beer and still doesn't ask me what kind of drink Iwant.. aaaaand the bar is empty so whats going on...? The bartender had some girl sitting on her phone by the register confirm Iwanted buffalo sauce on my wings. Yet, when I got them back they still didn't have buffalo sauce on them.. like they wanted meto eat the wings their way.... like what? So I ask for Buffalo sauce and they gave me some homemade sweet heat... while their abottle of Louisiana Hot Sauce staring at me by her register. Also, what kind of place puts BBQ on their Restaurant Name and nothave BBQ Brisket?! Or BBQ Burnt Ends?? I don't want to say that place is Racist but my friend was White and I'm Mexican so Idon't know what else to assume.. Read more

One star is too generous for this place. My family had absolutely the worst experience we've had in a restaurant in many... years. Now to be fair, it was parents weekend in Auburn so we expected lunch at any restaurant might take a little longer thanusual. We placed our order at the counter (as all patrons do) and received our ticket with the ticket number on it..ticketnumber 41. When we sat down we heard of the loudspeaker they called ticket number 21 or 22. Well, we were number 41 so I knewit might be a few minutes. Let's just say 50 minutes later, they were just on ticket 34-35. Yes that only turning about 14tickets in nearly an hour. BTW, my daughter arrived about 15 minutes behind us so we had to place her order when she got thereand her ticket number was 61. Many of you probably see where I'm going here, they're printing a lot of tickets, taking orders, but not a lot of progress coming out of the kitchen. I proceeded to go speak with the person at the cash register and kindlyasked for the manager. I was approached by one lady who absolutely seemed annoyed that I was even questioning why it was takingso long and then another guy came over and presented himself as the manager but he was visibly annoyed as well. I asked forowners information and he wouldn?t provide it. He simply said we're busy and turned around and walked off. Funny, before sayinganything to anyone I simply walked up and observed kitchen, to be fair. One guy was too busy watching the game on TV facingkitchen and other guys were working at snail pace. One was the "manager". When I spoke with him, I shared my observations ofthe kitchen and particularly the one guy watching the game and he just did not care! Now don't get me wrong, we eat out all thetime and are completely sympathetic to labor issues many restaurants are facing. Also, I'm somewhat familiar with restaurantbusiness, particularly BBQ. We eat at every BBQ restaurant in almost ever town we go to.. I also smok Read more

Good food and great ambiance. Really enjoyed the smoke wings. A little surprised they didn?t have brisket on the menu. I don?t... know how they do it, but they?re just as crispy as fried. Was a little disappointed that they ran out of ribs at 6pm on aSunday, but it is what it is. I enjoyed the shrimp poboy. My highlight was the mudslide desert. Read more

Tasty food and a short time between ordering and receiving your food. If you go on Monday, don't miss the meatloaf special with... greens and black eyed peas. I got the meatloaf sandwich, which was messy (the meatloaf was falling apart, a lot like beanburgers tend to) but juicy and flavorful--the meatloaf was wrapped in barbequed bacon, which is always a good idea. The greenswere some of the best I've had at a restaurant (not pictured because I polished em off before I thought to take a photo), theywere obviously fresh and crisp before being stewed in bacon and some tasty seasonings, and were lightly sweet. The black eyedpeas were cooked with diced link sausage and diced okra (it appeared, but rest assured they weren't slimy in the least) alongwith the usual cajun trinity. My husband gave me his grilled cornbread, which was great as well, and he was happy with hischicken tenders, which he said were lightly breaded and crispy on the outside, tender and juicy meat on the inside. I also tastetested the mac and cheese (baked, not too juicy, lightly peppery), ribs (nothing to write home about, in my opinion, but I likemine falling off the bone and dripping with sauce) banana pudding (tasty but not enough Nilla wafers for my liking), and oreopudding (rich, chocolaty, and moussey) from my group's plates (they offered, I promise...). My one disappointment was that Ithought that it would be nice if there was a trash can outside, or even if someone took our plates after we finished eating. Wesat outside for about 20 minutes after eating and had to pin our napkins down under our plates to keep them from blowing away. Ithink they could place the trash can up on the deck to keep every passerby from tossing their own trash into it (which Iunderstand is a nuisance). Just a small note. Read more
