New to my taste buds is PONKO Chicken. Gotta try it. I got the Ponko Chicken tacos, green beans and sweet potatoe fries. I... wondered what could make these tacos different from others... it's the OG sauce. The green beans have a very interestingtaste... again different. My daughter tried the chicken sandwich and said it was the best one she had tasted. The meal was alittle pricey but was fulfilling and absolutely worth every penny. The last thing Auburn needs is another chicken restaurant! However, this one is not like the "others". Ponko seems to head east... a bit, far east. If you like Asian flavors in your chicken this is the place. Also, the breading used is more of a panko-stylerather than a standard flour/buttermilk based coating. I liked that. I had one of each flavor, OG, Spicy, and BBQ, and all hadgood flavor. I just wish they had more flavor. I also selected rice and potato salad as my sides and they we're good althoughthe potatoes were a little too al dente for my liking. In general my experience was good. The only suggestion I have on theenvironment is to please add some trash cans. I ate outside and there was no where to put my trash. I then went inside and therewere no trash cans inside either. Overall I think it's worth a try and I'm sure I'll be back to try the tacos. Read more

I ordered takeout from here for the first time, tonight. The staff was super friendly. I was the only one in there, besides a... family who was eating outside. The food came out much faster than expected. I got the spicy chicken plate with fries andpickles. The chicken was amazing. I LOVED it, the fries were definitely old though. They were not hot or even warm, anddefinitely not crispy. I live like 2 minutes from the restaurant, so it was definitely not because of a long transport. Theseasoning on the fries was also a little fishy tasting, which I am NOT a fan of, but you can always order without the seasoning,I'm sure. I was given extra pickles because I told them I had tried to call, but got no answer, so that was super sweet. Thechicken and wonderful staff was definitely the saving grace of this place. Read more
Ponko doesn?t serve your typical chicken tender, this chicken is unlike any other! I enjoyed the sandwich and it?s so filling!... Our table had the tenders, green beans, potato salad and rice as well and every bite was delicious! The staff here is 10/10!Everyone was so kind and helpful and even with a line and rush, we were served in 6 minutes! Delicious fried chicken fingers, impossibly crispy with a tasty Asian sauce that is not goopy and does not stick to your... fingers. The fries have a proprietary seasoning that includes seaweed and sugar and is addictive. The rice was average. Theveggies were quite good. Wish I had a franchise near me.
