Great Service! I arrived early to meet my new boss for an interview (not with Mels). I explained to the host that we needed some... quiet space. They were very accommodating and I didn't order my lunch until after the interview. They were very courteous anddid not disturb us for drink refills and such. The food at Mels is always consistent. By far my favorite breakfast place in town. We go regularly and enjoy it every time.
I stopped in 20 minutes before closing, Grace, who was my Hostess sat me at a table, but my waitress must have been on a break!... I sat for close to 10 minutes before I looked around again, Grace noticed that nobody had come over to take my drink order! Sheasked me if I was helped yet, I replied no, so she took my order and put it in for me. I Got my food very quickly and she keptchecking on me and made me feel special. Food came, ate it and she continued excellent customer service!!! My waitress finallycame over but I was able to inform her that Gracie already took my order and gave me amazing service? ???????????? Such a lovely treat of a place to dine. My wife and I frequent this specific Original Mel?s because of the great service and... awesome ambience. The neon signs, clocks and assorted classic 1950s memorabilia on the walls really make this place feel likeyou are kinda back in time. The servers that have taken care of us have always been courteous and polite. Lauren in specificdoes her job very well. I?m so sad to give this a 2 star. It smelled like mildew, the napkin holders were sticky and so so dirty, the table was sticky.... You guys need to do a deep cleaning. Let?s talk about service, it was amazing if the service reflected in cleanliness it wouldhave 5 solid stars. The food was amazing. I wanted to see the kitchen and see if it was clean?. I?ll go back in a couple ofweeks if it?s still dirty I will quit going there. Read more
This Mel?s diner was very good in quality of food, service and cleanliness. The wait-time was minimum and once seated, we were... handed menus and glasses of water. The waitress was friendly and informative with their specials for the day. Our wait-timeafter our order was placed, was minimum.
