Whenever I am in the Auburn area I always try to make it to the Lotus, the food is fantastic, their prices are decent and the... service is on par with most buffet style restaurants. The many different choices at the buffet is quite impressive, from thesoups to the General Tso's Chicken and everything in between. It's always hot and fresh, and the buffet is filled at astaggering pace no matter how busy they are. The atmosphere is like most Chinese buffets I have been to, busy, people munchingaway happily while chatting to those around them, the decor is on point and I won't hesitate to go again when I am in the area. This is by far one of the best restaurants hands down I've eaten at. This easily ranks among the best Chinese restaurants... comparable to places in Boston and New York. Not only is the buffet fresh and delicious but when you order out the food is someof the best I've personally had. Service is great, food is fresh, and each visit/order is perfect! Read more

We went on a Saturday in the afternoon and the place was packed. They showed my daughter and I to our to table and before we... could even sit down or my mother joined us at the table our drink order was being requested. When my mother joined us a freeminutes later she had to ask someone for a drink. At the buffet tables, a lot of the food was gone and what was still there wascold; and not all of the dishes were marked so you had to just guess what it was. By the second trip up there the food that waspreviously give had been replenished but it was done so with bland overcooked cold food as well. The waiter never asked howeverything was or if we needed anything. He cleared our first plates from the table while placing our bill on the table. Mydaughter went up to get more food and came back saying she had to use the restroom. So as she did that I went up to pay the billand when we both sat back down at our table, all of our stuff (drinks, silverware, napkins and my daughter plate of food shejust got) had been cleared from the table and our table had been wiped down. We sat back down at our table and all he said was"oh, I thought you were leaving". I told him no, we weren't done and that my daughter had just gotten the plate he picked up. Atthis point we felt rushed and like we could leave now that they had gotten their money. Which by the way, was ridiculous,especially for a child and the quality of food on this visit. My daughter was still hungry but given that he cleared our tableand kind of made us feel unwelcome at that table now, she opted to leave instead of going to get another plate of food. She washere the night prior and said that the food was so much better and the waiters were nicer and didn't pretty much kick you out.So maybe we just hit it at the wrong time being that it was busy and such, so perhaps they weren't capable to handle the volumeof people and food and that's why some of the dishes were empty, overcooked and it was cold? Very unsatisfied!!!! Food was old sitting in steamers. Workers are very up tight. Rushing you to get food and eat and go. I... have been to over 1000 places and this has been a very bad experience. UNFORTUNATELY I DON'T BELIEVE THIS REVIEW WILL BEHANDLED PROFESSIONALLY AND I HOPE OTHERS THAT GO TO LOTUS WILL REMEMBER THIS. Definitely not Normal to eat and feel sickeverytime we have eaten their. Menu choices are extensive, so hard to choose. Huge portion, yum. Dessert (donuts) were delicious, served warm.
Very lovely buffet. I have come back over and over. The staff is so friendly, I have always had a plesent time. They are very... attentive to their guests and to the buffet, food is always being refilled. And there is a decent amount to choose from. Read more
Meal was not as good as it use to be. Most of it was just like warm and anything with the chicken was over cooked. The beef tips... with onions and peppers I found hair in it, not mine, it was black and I'm gray. Don't think I'll be back any time soon. Read more
