This used to be my favorite restaurant in Auburn but the last three times have been awful. Balloons has a great menu and... specials but they cannot execute on it. On our most recent visit our three entrees were an embarrassment. The chicken parmesantasted funny, could not really but my finger on it but everyone agreed it was not good. My tenderloin tips asiago was ok atbest. Asiago has a strong flavor and it was barely noticeable in the dish.My daughter's chicken francaise was devoid of flavorand tasted plain. She informed the waiter who took the dish and said the owner would try it. He brought the dish back in a to gobox and said the owner tasted it and it was fine. GROSS. YOU JUST LET SOMEONE ELSE EAT OFF A DISH YOU RETURNED TO US. They didnot offer to recook it, replace it another item or take it off the bill. Got 5 star service and food in a 10 cent town. Oh maybe 25 cents Originally I wanted to take my GF to Lascas. CV could not get... in on the busy Friday night so went fishing and found a hidden treasure in the neighborhood surrounding the Auburn prison.Unbelievable chef and service and nicest silverware I've seen in a long time! Our server Mollie knew the menu backwards andforwards and SO helpful!! Others actually came through to help us with questions as well. Definitely going back!!!???? Read more

Always loved Balloons I?ve eaten here on a handful of occasions it?s a hometown favorite to me. They do a lot of catering and I... send the guest of my vacation rental properties here We ate Shrimp Linguini with mushrooms and Sun dried tomatoes in an Alfredocream sauce and the young Lady with me had Steak Diane both were specials of the day were excellent and were large portionsenough for leftovers or a second meal.
