Been taking my mom to therapy when needed over the last months. I usually swing into Athens in Auburn for grinders. Been going... to Athens since the 1980s. Family owned, if I worked a weekend in the day, I wanted a grinder. I know many of you know aboutAthens. I decided on a pizza... I haven't had a Athens pizza in probably 3 decades... it was awesome. I highly recommend thislittle restaurant. It's not every place you can go and eat. Meet and talk to the family there, how much they care about thecommunity. Stop by your table and ask how your mother is doing with her therapy. Some very good people and over the past 40years they make you feel like family. Athens in Auburn on main just off of M street. Excellent atmosphere, family- run vibe. Crunchy, thin crust, generous toppings, perfect cheese blend. Little greasy, but... the taste and service more than make up for it. Highly recommended ???????????????? Read more

My family and I have been going to this restaurant since I was young, and have NEVER had a bad experience. The food is always... fresh, the service friendly and always goes above and beyond when a request is made. The owners often come out to personallytalk with people, this is probably one of the best "mom and pop" restaurants I have ever experienced. While everything on theirmenu is delicious, I would personally recommend the Grinders over everything as they are superb! I'm so happy the recent firedidn't hurt their business to the point of closing and I can't wait to be a patron for the rest of my days!! Read more
The meals we were served tonight were incredible. Had the cold cut and turkey grinder and the Athens pizza. Everything was... cooked to perfection. And at the end of our meal we were given 4 to go boxes of baklava. Athens Pizza and Pasta has everythingyou?d want in a restaurant! Amazing customer service, extremely polite servers, and incredible food! Absolutely will be back toAthens next time we?re in town!!! Read more

We used to eat Athens Pizza almost on a daily basis back in 1987 when I lived here. I've craved it many times over the last 35... years and finally made my way back and couldn't wait to try it again.
