The atmosphere was very original to it's first opening in 1965( I would guess) I ordered 2 pc chicken and broccoli and rice... casserole. Had breast and wing. Was flavored but a bit dry. Caserolle was not enough brocolli or cheese and too much. Personwith me says fried pork chops were great and worth coming back for. It seems to have a lot of faithful and loyal seniorcustomers. Delicious southern soul food that my family always comes to eat when we visit from Texas. The fried chicken is always amazing... and the sides are just as good. We highly recommend for dining in or having delivered if you're going to a party / tailgate. Read more

Food was fresh and seasoned well! I had the vegetable plate with turnip greens, black eyed peas, and baked cinnamon apples. The... meal also comes with your choice of bread. I got hush puppies. It was delicious! I will be going back for lunch! Read more
The food was really good. Some of the employees could have dressed much more modestly. The restaurant itself most definitely... needed to be so much cleaner and in better order. Some employees need alot of training and etiquette in welcoming customers andtreating them with respect. It was my first time there and I would have appreciated just a little more help on the menu and howthey do things. Like I said the food was good. If you want to clean it up you will. Dirty tables dirty floors dirtier kitchen but one of my people recommended the place and so I thought I?d give it a try. I will... never eat there again the whole time I was there no employee had the intention of cleaning anything, actually I take that backone person started to clean and then got distracted by a conversation and left the mess on the table. The food was mediocre overcooked shrimp, under cook fish, barely any cheese in the max and cheese tastes like more egg than anything, cornbread was burntthe best thing I ate was some vanilla wafers that I had off my kids plate. The fried chicken was pretty good, but the mac-n-cheese and greens were not! The noodles for the mac-n-cheese were far too... overcooked to be enjoyable and the green beans were too heavily salted. ..and the place wasn't clean... I finished my mealbecause I didn't want to seem rude. I had already obviously frowned at something.
