The Beehive Augusta Tavern is located on the river bank in Augusta KY, about an hour east of Cincinnati, OH. It is EXACTLY what... you would guess an excellent restaurant positioned in a very historic building would be like......the food and service did notdisappoint. We actually went early and sat at the cozy bar on the first floor. Though we ordered Bourbon, we watched thebartender, Carmen wrestling with getting her Sangria concoction just right. She and Katie (the manager) worked on it for about30 minutes until it seemed just right. We would decide that later in the evening when we returned for our dinner reservation. Initially we thought about eating on the balcony overlooking the Ohio River but it was just a little too cold for that so weopted for the 2nd floor dining room with the same view. Macey helped seat us. She was a waitress in the place but not assignedto us for the evening. We had met her earlier at the Augusta distillery tour where she worked behind the tasting bar. We talkedabout her future plans and I have little doubt she will be running the town in a number of years. Of course I had to order theSangria. I thought initially both the cinnamon and clove taste overpowered it a little, so I decided to let it rest and let theice melt diluting it. After it did that the taste was perfect. Best Sangria I have ever had. For dinner my wife had theporkchop and raved about it. I had the bourbon glazed salmon. Both were absolutely superb. My wife's accompanying vegetable wasbrussel sprouts which she just won't eat. Pam, our waitress, talked her into it. My wife loved them. Of course it helped it wascovered in brown sugared bacon, but still, they were really good. For dessert my wife and I split the Beehive honey pie.Theykeep the recipe a secret but it was absolutely delicious. I expected it to be overly sweet (I dislike pecan pie because of that)but it wasn't. It was perfect. Overall it was a superb meal that, even with drinks, did not break t Read more

My husband booked us reservations this past saturday at 4:15. We had never been. We were told upfront by our waitress that there... were no specials as there was a new chef and a new menu was being created. My husband opted for the sirloin and I opted for thepork chop. Both were absolutely prepared to perfection. My husband loved the candied carrots that were served with his meal andI had never had brussel sprouts and they were out of this world. We opted to try the Honey pie for dessert and it was very richand quite delish.... one piece was enough for a few bites for each of us and thats all you need. We did over hear a seatingsituation across the way upstairs that seems like it could have been handled better in regards to reservations and nonreservations. Other then that our meal was amazing. I would highly recommend coming to this wonderful restaurant. We drove about 45 min from northern Kentucky to come here for... mother's day. The food was fantastic. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms and drinks to start our meal off. I chose the espressomartini and it was one of the better espresso martinis that I have had. For the main course I orded the bourbon glazed salmonand the brussel sprouts (not pictured). The restaurant sits next to the Ohio river along with some houses built in the 1700's.There is plenty of shade to walk down the street and enjoy the beautiful weather and old architecture. The food, atmosphere, andservice were all top notch. We will definitely be making the drive again to come back and see more of the small town of Augustaand this amazing restaurant. Read more

Met friends for Sunday brunch. The setting is beautiful, right on the Ohio River near the ferry. The menu is not large, yet... is diverse and the food is of excellent quality. Decor is rustic industrial with a bit of contemporary. Great atmosphere, well stocked bar and friendly staff. My wife got to meet Nick Clooney which was an awesome experience! Read more

WOW! First time and won’t be our last. I couldn’t say enough about this place. Located in a super cute spot of town, with a... beautiful view of the Ohio River. Very cozy and inviting inside. GREAT DATE NIGHT SPOT!! Started off with the shrimp cocktail(5 and a VERY good and spicy cocktail sauce,) then Spinach salad. Both were great! For the meal we had the BBQ Chicken Sandwich(BBQ has a kick,) the NY Strip (LOVED the sauce topping,) with sides of Mac & Cheese, Smashed Potatoes and Mushrooms. The sidesare big enough in to share with one other person (may not want to, they’re that good haha.) For dessert we had the BananaPudding and Cream Brûlée (YUM! What a sweet way to end dinner.) Thanks BeeHive for a great date night! Our new favorite spot! Our service was phenomenal (asked to change tables from outside to in and they 100% accommodated us with no questions.) Ourserver was SO nice and we didn’t go without anything, and multiple people checked on us throughout our meal. 100% recommend. Read more

Delightful dishes and great staff. We had a wonderful brunch and dinner here. The chef made accommodations for my lactose... challenges and my wife's gluten free needs. Andrew made fantastic drinks, bloody Mary's, and my sidecar was delicious. Order aBuckner's bourbon- aged 13 years and the taste will transport you. Definitely try the deviled eggs, goetta, salmon. The porkchop special was fantastic because of the sweet tea brine. Marilyn and the other staff took great care of us. The Read more
