I absolutely have to give this place the most AMAZING review, for multiple reasons. My husband & I have dined her many times.... We love the food, the ambiance, and the staff! It really is a favorite. I'm sad to say, my husband passed tragically on 9/4/22.Yesterday (10/6/22) was our wedding anniversary. I called the day before, extremely distraught knowing the day was coming, & wecouldn't celebrate together anymore. I asked for "our" table, & they were very understanding & gave me what I'd hoped for myreservation. When I arrived, I was greeted with the utmost kindness and compassion. I'm sure it was awkward & uncomfortable toserve me with a straight face. But the staff never wavered, & I was treated with the very most respect & understanding. I dinedwith a picture of the love of my life. It was heartbreaking, but also comforting. I was told at the end of my visit, I'm welcometo return to have these special moments ANYTIME I wish. And I've never felt so accommodated by a restaurant, ever. Kudos to theowner, management, & staff of this wonderful establishment. I can't thank you all enough for making my sad, but special day somagnificent! I hope you all enjoy it as much as we have???? Read more

By far the best meal we have had in Maine. The service was excellent. The drinks were amazing and one of a kind. We recommend... the Caramel martini. The seafood scampi was delicious. The seared scallops with the maple glaze is out of this world. Greatplace to get a good quality meal that is well worth every penny. Read more

Not the best, and I am saying that kindly. Parking is on the street, no parking fees. The restaurant is divided into two... sections, to the left looked to be a fancier space vs the lounge area. The fancier section has nice light linens, light coloreddecor and a small but intimate area. My husband and I sat in the lounge/bar area. I could tell right off the bat that thissection needs a facelift. I'm not sure what theme decor they are going with in this section but, it wasn't at all eclectic. Itfelt run down. I ordered a glass of riesling wine - the glass was served, by an irritated waitress who was hot and seemedbothered, with a lipstick smudge. She got me another glass without hesitancy. Our meal was served remarkably fast and lookeddelicious. Unfortunately, the taste was not as award winning as the owner/chef received. The lobster sauce was ok, zeroflavor. My husband's pork chop had tough gristle and was tremendously thick! The only flavor he tasted were the apples and saucethat was on top of the chop. Not at all the $30 per plate expectancy. I would not come back. Too high priced for the lack inatmosphere and flavor. * We ate half and had it boxed up for us and left. Today I took my left overs and picked out theseafood, dripped a tad bit of liquid smoke in my cast iron skillet and seared the little creatures. Then I took the remainingpasta, added fresh garlic, fresh basil, a splash of heavy cream and grated some fresh Romano cheese. I mixed the two togetherand it came out fantastic! A hint of smokiness and a medley of flavors! One of these pictures is my revamped creation. Read more

Can't say enough about what a great experience we had! The service was great, the atmosphere was nice, the food was delicious,... and the decor was so interesting. Sitting right next to the Kennebec River, the views are great. You can even take a walkalong the river after your meal. My Seared Scallops were fantastic, and we ordered Rum Creme Brulee for dessert. That was absolutely delicious. Pricing is very reasonable, great menu, I highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be backnext time I am back in town! Read more
