Reviews for Panera Bread in Augusta, ME
Unfortunately we had two sandwiches with rotten lettuce in them. It is hard to believe anyone in food service would put lettuce... that had gone bad into a sandwich. It was clearly black and nasty. I was lucky we didn't get the sandwiches home because we wereeating outside so I took the sandwich inside to show to the manager. I was told I could have a refund or some Romaine lettuce. I was hoping to hear something like, "I am so sorry we pride ourselves on top quality fresh ingredients and this should neverhave happened. Let me correct this mistake," but I did not. As I departed I heard the manager yell to another employee to binall the lettuce. At least other customers wouldn't get turned lettuce. Read more
I ordered Chicken Noodle soup and bread. The cashier "ASHLEY"who took my order was very kind and Polite. The staff at the other... end were not. When my order came up, She yelled my name and practically through my order at me with an angry face. Not evenacknowledging that I even existed! It was the first time that I visited this establishment. I took it in stride and thought toomyself " Maybe she was just having a bad day. Went today for lunch with my daughter. The person who took our order was wonderful, I did not think to ask his name. It was... very busy but he kept a smile on his face and was just terrific?we both had questions about a couple menu items but he didn?tseem to mind at all! It is one of my favorite place) no matter what city..I love panera... but I have issues, sometimes I get totally unripe,... sometimes totally black...avocado, or unpeeled avocado slices for which I always pay extra... Read more
Having the kiosks to order and friendly enough staff were the only reason I was able to give 2 stars. My chicken on my sandwich... was not an amazing texture or flavor, not to mention took up only half the bun; the fried pickles were all but not existent; thecorn chowder was gross looking and tasted only slightly better than it looked. For a nearly $20 lunch, I?d expect so muchbetter. I?ve been to many Panera?s, this is by far the worst. I hate leaving such a negative review, but I was so lookingforward to having lunch in town today but am left wishing I?d have waited til I got home. Read more
Great food and good service as always, but it?s a shame they?re following suit of everyone else where they raise/keep the same... prices and give you less for your money?it was filling and satisfying however. I?ve always found it a pain to pick up your foodand your drink at two different places. During this visit, they didn?t use/I had no vibrating buzzer to alert me when my foodwas ready. They always need to yell to people to tell them their drink is ready. There?s gotta be a better way of doing it. Read more
They always meet or exceed my expectations at the Augusta ME Panera. I always have a smiling face greet me and light appropriate... conversation from the staff. Although I rarely review chains, this one makes my day 4/5 days a week. I especially love thecoffee subscription which is free till January! Love free stuff? Get the Panera membership. Read more
The taste and quality have really gone down. There is often an issue of forgetting an ingredient or something. They have gotten... very skimpy on the chicken in the salad. It tastes blah. I am taking a break for awhile. Read more
