Stopped in on a whim and man, was it a pleasant surprise. The most entertaining meal I've had in a long time. A top notch,... multi-course culinary treat without any of the pretentiousness usually associated with that type of dining. The warmth and carethat Eli and Lacey put into their craft is evident in every sip and bite. Both the drinks and food were somehow playful anddeadly serious at the same time, if that makes any sense. My wife and I will be back soon! Read more

A hidden gem!!! All of the food was phenomenal and the drinks are homemade to order. The bartender makes her own infused... liquors(we tried the pine gin and it was great). Pictured is the Bees Knees. I also had a delicious matcha drink. For dinner Ichose the four course tasting option. Every dish was delicious. Such unique flavors and items( Like the boar stir fry). Overalla great experience! The service was great too. I last minute requested a reservation and they were able to seat us at the bar.Love the atmosphere here, very casual place, yet spectacular food. You can taste the hard work from both the bartender and thechef in the food& drinks. Definitely will be back if I find myself in the area again. Read more

This is an experience. Going to this place you need to recognize that this is an authentic experience between you and food that... comes fresh and is prepared fresh and fantastic. Bring your open mind and take in the spices the aroma and the deliciousnessthat awaits you. Stop expecting this place to be a regular restaurant. It's not! I wouldn't want it to be a regularrestaurant. There are plenty of them in Augusta. If you want to experience unique and quality. Try this place! Read more

We had an amazing time at this restaurant! It's small, but has a great atmosphere and excellent service. We sat at the chef's... table by the kitchen, and were able to ask about ingredients, and just generally converse with chef/owner Eli while eating.Portions are small compared to other restaurants (which they tell you upon seating), but they offer a reasonably priced tastingmenu, with an option to share, that allows you to sample from a variety of courses. My husband and I shared said tasting menu, and were perfectly full after all the courses (plus dessert, of course). The menu changes daily, which may be inconvenient forsome, but we found it a nice change of pace. Lacey also had great recommendations for drinks when I couldn't decide betweencocktails. The honey rose margarita was what I started with, and oh my goodness it was delicious. I always find it a good signwhen a restaurant has regulars to the point that the chef/owner knows their names, which we found to be the case here. We willdefinitely be going back! Read more

This is the first meal we have at Maine in my East Coast trip. We didn't expect such a fine dining experience from a small... restaurant. My favorite dishes are the pork belly and the duck breast. The pork belly is very crispy and still juicy inside. Itis not greasy at all. The soya sauce is infused with other herbs, honey in a well balanced way. The greens makes the pork bellymore fresh. The duck breast is the best duck breast I have in my life so far. The Chef Whitney said she used expresso power tomarinate the duck breast, giving it a roasted flavor. In addition, the duck breast is very soft and juicy. I can cut the breasteasily. The leek cream at the bottom elevated the complexity of the dish. The apple aside makes it very fresh. All the rest ofthe dishes are very good! Love this place. We talked to the Chef Whitney. She said she visits the local store every day to pickthe best food and adjust the menu accordingly. So the menu is changing a little bit everyday. The food are from local farms. Thefood texture is great. The taste is very balanced and matched with the ingredients. Read more
