Since moving to Colorado I've embraced green chili smothering almost every burrito I order. I have gotten better at handling the... spice especially moving from a state the Black pepper is considered spicy to many. The green chili smothering my burrito at TheCopper Pot was the best tasting green chili I've ever had. It 100% brings a good amount of heat that builds but because thegreen chili has such a great flavor I just wanted more. It is a well balanced chili that isn't too hot and definitely brings agreat flavor. The crispy Carnitas in the burrito was a great addition, try it if you can. Great food, great service every single time!! Best Mac n Cheese with any fixings in it! But last visit we tried chicken fried... chicken with mashed potatoes, yummy. My hubby had the Sausage, Peppers and Onions meal with fries...Amazing as well. We lovethis place!! Definitely recommended! Read more
Just ate at The Copper Pot. Our server Memi made the experience delightful, she was so fun and friendly even though she was... slammed. The baked Mac n cheese is probably one of the best I have personally had in a restaurant, my wife had the carne asadanachos and loved them. I would highly recommend this as a must check out. We stopped in yesterday morning for a late morning brunch and could not have been happier with either the food or the service.... Our server, Joann, was very friendly and attentive. At her suggestion we got our green chili on the side - that's what the hotbubbly cheesy goodness in the little cast iron pan is. Both the green chili and the salsa had a nice rich heat that wasn'toverpowering. We'll definitely be back! Read more
Where do I start.....first off the service was good. Attentive and nice! The food however was not. My wife ordered a burger... cooked medium, but was so well done and dry it was crumbling. My daughter got the kids chicken fingers but were so over friedshe only had a couple of bites. Then there was mine. I ordered their "508 sandwich " which was an Italian sausage hoagie withpeppers and onions. I got a salad as the side and immediately pulled off a moldy tomato and some very old red onion slices. Then the sandwich came. It was huge, full of peppers onions and mushrooms and very little sausage.....like 6 thin pieces ofsausage. I also pulled out 2 onion skins and a moldy red bell pepper. I am a restaurant guy. Worked, owned and managed dozensover the years. I hate to write bad reviews, especially in today's climate, but this was about as bad as it gets folks. Read more
We had breakfast at Saddle Rock twice (once after being told to expect improvements). The menu literally consisted of 5 items,... not the full breakfast from the online menu. In fact, another party simply left after seeing the menu. Per the server bothvisits, the "biscuits" for the biscuits & gravy were actually dinner rolls. Overall, our meals were under seasoned & bland,including the spicy green chili & salsa. So, why make a half attempt at breakfast? If you're going to do it, do it right and doit well or not at all. Sincerely, if you want to compete for business in the area, you have to do better. If/when you do, we'dlove to give it another try. Read more
