The overall experience was pleasant but pretty underwhelming for us. The tea room looked a little rundown and our tea cups had... dust on them as well as several of the plates had multiple cracks and chips. The food was tasty in general but not great and wasoverpriced. The lemon curd on the side was obviously made in house and tasted very fresh, the finger sandwiches were good (wishthere were more of them), the scones were nothing special, the strawberry cakes were too sweet, the carrot cakes were delicious, and the lemon curd cakes were good, but we weren't impressed with getting lemon curd twice as a flavor. The orange blossom teawas decent. The waiter was nice but was absent most of our meal and we were the only ones in the place at the time. The lastdisappointment was getting served afternoon tea when I had made a reservation for high tea. Since this was my first time here, Ididn't realize this until basically the end of the meal when I confusedly asked the waiter if 'that was it?' and he confirmed. At least we were not charged for high tea. Again, it was a pleasant experience and I'm glad we were able to go, but doubt wewill go back. Read more

I love going out for afternoon tea, but I didn't really love this place. It's not bad, it's just not great or impressive. ... The food was mediocre, the tea just ok. Service was wonderful though. Read more

I made a reservation for party of 4 for my sister's birthday. We arrived 15 min early and all tables were taken. The waiter... informed us he was clearing out a back table for us. We waited 10 min. after our reservation time to be seated, we didn't mindwe were busy looking at the mini shop they have. So many cute items, goods, stationary. We had high tea and everything wasdelicious. The salad, sandwiches, cakes, scones and the unlimited tea! The only waiter Myron? I believe that's his name hemanaged every table with promptness, professionalism and still made time to make small talk with us and offer recommendations ondifferent tea flavors. He was phenomenal! This local gem is a great addition to Auroras downtown, we will be back for lunch verysoon. Read more

Words can?t describe how fabulous our experience was at the Calla Lily Victorian Tea Room. I hosted a tea party bridal shower... last Tuesday and everything was like a dream, just perfect. Myron was above and beyond gracious and accommodating. We had goneover by an hour (he was technically closed) and he was very kind about it. The minute you walk into the tea room there?s such asweet atmosphere, as if you?ve entered into a different time zone (Victorian time period!). I HIGHLY recommend the Calla LilyTea Room. The food is delicious as are their teas, and Myron is wonderful to work with . ?? Read more
