A great quick stop for a nice soft serve ice cream. Service was slightly slow but I guess it was an hour before closing time and... they were cleaning - not sure ! A little gimmicky with some of the over the top menu items - but the dipped cones are supremely good. Nice, thick chocolate... coating that doesn't taste junky. Overall this is the spot I'd come back to over and over for a dip cone. Read more
Like others below me have pointed out,the ice cream is way too sweet to the point of being irritating in your mouth. I couldn't... finish my icecream because i thought I would throw up as it was so sweet. Maybe if you like really sweet desserts, you'd enjoyit. We ordered two vanilla cones with hazelnut praline toppings and 1 raspberry float. They were all ok not worth the pricethey're charging. The vanilla in the cone literally tasted like McDonald's vanilla cone. Not the best soft serve. Also the menuis really confusing,it didn't specify the flavors of the soft serve nor the flavors of the float. Will not be coming back. 2022 January 4.5? If you love chocolate, this is certainly one of those places to be. Great interior design, beautifully... arranged store layout and high ceilings. Chocolats Favoris offers a wide selection of chocolate products ranging from cakes,fondues, dessert items and even ice cream. The soft serve ice cream itself is standard, though what shines out is the thick andheavy chocolate dip which makes a thick hard chocolate outer shell. I'd suggest adding toppings to the order, makes it a lotbetter. Also, suggest getting a mini to start off as it can be quite filling with the chocolate. Overall, definitely comeagain. There are multiple locations in Canada. There's another one in Sherbrooke, Quebec. While product arrangement slightlyvaries, it looks the same. Read more
First time here and we as a family did not like it as much as we thought we would. Kids had the cookies and cream and they loved... but melted chocolate was very hard after it cooled down. They could barely break it with the spoon. Also the person who wasmaking our ice cream gave it to us in such messy manner with chocolate dripping all over the cup I couldn?t even hold it. Therewas so much cookies and cream chocolate with barely any ice cream Me and my husband had the hazelnut crunch and we both couldbarely eat it as it was hard that it just looked good but not edible. Honestly I really wish that we could give it five starsas everything looked so amazing and delicious???? Portion is not the greatest Not sure why the chocolate became so hard as itis kept warm We were in the area and thought we would give this place a try and just not our luck in having a wonderfulexperience here. We love to try different places as we are a big family and there is this one place in Porthope that we keepreturning to called Cones and Characters and they have been the only place that has the best soft serve ice cream that is dippedin either milk or dark chocolate and having so many options with toppings. This place has amazing soft serve ice cream. They also have different flavored dips for the ice cream and they are all really... good! For the price you pay I think it is worth it but also super filling. I suggest getting a small!! This is my go to icecream place during the summer. Read more
