South Cobb diner is always a favorite go to place for lunch. I used to eat there more often until we moved. They used to have a... spicy chicken club sandwich that was awesome! We went to attend the amazing paint & sip!! That was outstanding and all of our paintings turned out amazing!! The food and... drinks were delicious! The Dinners cleanliness is emaculent extremely caring staff that works hard for every cent, yet still manages to show... kindness. During the cold the heart the display will warm yours. Found this restaurant while looking for 'fried green tomatoes' which is (I think) Georgia's specialty. So we had fried green... tomatoes, chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and fried squash, and country fried steak with collard green and jalapenoslaw. All the veggie dishes were delicious and my chicken was tender but my husband said his beef was a little tough. Also wegot red velvet cake and it was true southern sweets. Love this place for good home cooking. The fried pickles were a great starter. I enjoyed the catfish sandwich (which was light... and flaky on a buttered bun) with a side of broccoli casserole. I tried my daughter?s serving of meatloaf, and it was tender andvery tasty. The green beans were seasoned well and did not come from a can. My husband?s Salisbury steak and mashed potatoeswere a fave. The collard greens were cooked to perfection. Yes! I sampled everyone?s dish, and I loved ALL of it. The wait staffis personable and fun.
