I love this place! The men who work the reception as hosts are so delightful. And the waiter too. I went when the a/c was down... but I didn’t care at all… the food was excellent and the service delightful! I have gone back a few times because the olderman is a joy to talk to! So cute!!! I really like the decor and the food! Thumbs up in my book!!! Keep up the great work! Read more

Honest review here. Makes me wonder about their other reviews, which are way over rated for this place. We recently dined here,... because of the reviews, and we were not impressed. We have eaten Indian Food in many major cities in the US as well as Europe. We love Indian Food so we eat it often. The service was poor, the atmosphere was ok. The chicken in the Chicken Tikka Masala wasvery dry and rubbery. The garlic naan was good, the masala was just ok and not hot enough. Seemed below average overall and wedidn’t appreciate their news channel report on tv at the bar during our dinner, which was annoying, loud and distracting.Anyway, we paid over $85 for 2 people and felt disappointed afterwards. Well I’ll be darned - the most beautiful, quaint little bistro to stumble upon of a Friday night wah. As we walked in we were... greeted with open arms by the host/possibly owner? Either way very friendly. My friend Mark and I proceeded to order thesamosas, poppadom w/mango chutney, sizzling tikka plate, garlic naan, peschwari naan, tikka masala and a korma - every last dishwas stunning. I ate a little more than Mark did to which the owner made note that I was ‘The New King’. Will definitely beback Read more

Let me preface this by saying that I have had Indian food from top restaurants all over the world.... But in the end I would... have to say my favorite Indian food by far comes from Bombay Bistro. The menu consists of mostly very traditional standards ofIndian cuisine, without endless reinventions or adaptations of other dishes. I think that is what makes this place special. Theyare focused on taking the classics and perfecting them, rather than inventing new dishes inspired by Indian flavors like so manyother restaurants in Austin. I live up north in Liberty Hill and will drive all the way down just for pickup. Almost every dishon the menu is well worth the drive. Read more

This is THE BEST Indian Food in Austin Texas. The flavor, the spice, and the quality of the food has always been on point. I... have tried elsewhere in Austin and Bombay is by far the best Indian food. On top of how great the food is, the customer servicehas been exceptional. There is only one location now but I am glad they are still in business. Please do yourself a favor andtry it. You will not be disappointed. Read more

Haven't had Indian food in a good while, so I came out to Bombay Bistro and I got the: - Chicken Korma: onion based, rich curry... that was delicious. This is my favorite type of curry and they did it very well! - Chicken Tikka Masala: I'm not often a bigfan of this type of curry since it's too light for me, but this was creamier. Almost like a tomato bisque soup for example. Iliked it like this and I can say it's THE BEST I've had in town. Love this, too! - Bread Assortment: Here you get 1 of each oftheir naans, there was 5 or 6, I forgot. Either way, it was VERY filling. Big portions and definitely a fair price. All in all,I was a big fan of this spot. Great customer service as the owner kept checking in on us. Great sized portions and nice lowlitinterior. I give them a 5/5 for being amazing! Read more
