First, Cabo Bob's has my favorite tortilla chips of all time. Nachos with salsa and queso is a favorite of mine and this doesn't... disappoint. Their food is extremely tasty, starting with their fresh pressed and baked tortillas that come in a variety offlavors. Simply never had a bad meal from them. The taste of being of being on vacation; the casual approach to tacos and burritos served here makes other chains look bad.... Great food, and great atmosphere. Had heard from locals this is a great stop, had just not been able to make the rounds? didn?tdisappoint. Few locations around town, word is they are all just as good. The vibe and ambience is cool. Hard to believe that it was started just in 2008. The staff are very friendly. I like the... tortilla flavor options. They are made right in front of you after you place an order. The portions are huge. Will come back totry other proteins. Read more
Honestly I love chipotle; however, this place is 10x better than chipotle! Every time I?m back in Austin I make sure I eat here... at least once. Definitely recommend getting their brisket super juicy and packed with flavor!! Read more
This restaurant has a fun vibe. There's a stead buzz of dinners talking and the exchange of staff with dinners getting their... meals in the line. The variety of tortillas and protein offerings give a good chance everyone in your party will find somethingthey like. We tried the chicken tacos on flour tortillas and they were awesome! The chicken was tender and seasoned well. Wealso has the fish tacos, which tasted ok, but were underwhelming. The corn tortillas they were on were great though. With bothtacos we had different vegetables and found them to be fresh. Would like to comment the 3 taco meal was too much food for mymale companion who had a big appetite (I could only get thru 1.5). It's A LOT of food. Our only true disappointment were thetortilla chips. Very unappetizing to us. We threw them out. The queso, on the other hand, was really good. Standing in line today, I heard someone behind me say, "It's like Chipotle." I somehow fought the urge to turn around and... correct them. Y'all. Cabo Bob's is the best burrito in town. They have more selection and more ways to make my lunch thanChipotle can DREAM of. Don't get me wrong, Chipotle is in more places and can scratch that burrito itch but I prefer a varietyof options and CB's delivers. I can eat something different every day; fish tacos on Monday, steak burrito on Tuesday, chickenbowl for Wednesday, brisket nachos for Thursday, and a salad on Friday. Also, that almost gets me a free burrito with theirpunch cards. The food is fresh, the hot sauce is legit, and the sour cream is included! They have 3 kinds of beans, they've gotsquash, the queso is badass, and the chips are thick and crunchy. They make and cook your tortilla of choice right in front ofyou! Trust me, hit this place up.
