I\'ve been coming here since they took over the building Strangebrew used to reside in (RIP). The pastries are tasty and amongst... a wide variety, the coffee/espresso doesn\'t taste over-roasted like some neighboring shops, and the staff are welcoming andexceptionally professional (shout out to Sam, Stone, and Rudy). I\'m also excited sound space opened (so they are open later)and that they even offer mocktails for us sober folk! Not to mention they support local musicians and the owner is a genuinelykind person. I used to live near Quack?s Bakery downtown. It?s always a fun spot to meet friends and enjoy a sweet treat. Unfortunately... Captain Quackenbush?s is not as good ?bakery? wise. We bought 3 different slices of pies (because they all looked delicious) butupon taking a bite you find them dense and flavorless. If you like sugar then buy the pie because that?s literally the onlytaste here. Literally it?s a flavorless filling covered in flavorless whip cream. cool place to study; one of the only coffee shops in Austin that isn\'t overcrowded, which I really like. My only gripe is that... the cakes are hard, even down to the icing. Likely this is because everything just stays in their refrigerator all day. I dolike the lemon breadload that they have and like it -- when it\'s not dry. everything else I\'ve tried is hard (if refrigerated)or dry (if not), which is unfortunate. Read more
Ginger cookie was good. Oatmeal cookie was bland and a little dry. Blueberry almond coffee cake had almost no blueberry flavor.... The muffin is a Glory something, forgot the name. Smells delicious. Haven?t tasted yet. Read more
Absolutely love this place. They have the best cakes and pastries. Their coffee and drinks are always well made. Their staff is... friendly and helpful. It?s seriously one of the best coffeehouses / bakeries in town. This location in particular is reallygreat even compared to their others. Read more
Super chill place to read/work from on a weekday with plenty of tables and seating. Bakery is top-notch as usual. Ordered the... cranberry orange scone and raspberry thumbprint cookie, as well as an Americano with a splash of milk. Enjoyed it all! Read more

Great coffee and pastries, it takes a little longer when it is busy but definitely worth it.
