The food was great, service was great but the ambiance of being a Filipino restaurant wasn't there. The place has a very simple... dining area. Just tables/benches and chairs. No wall decorations, etc. Having decorations on the walls with paintings or ahistorical piece of art about the Philippines would have been nice. You know eating at a Filipino restaurant and also feelinglike you are in the Philippines would be nice, especially since we long and yearn for our homeland and get that feeling ofloneliness sometimes. So if they only had the ambiance, I would be giving that place 5 stars. Read more

Okay I came here to try. I usually go to Lil Mamas but decided try this place. Looks visually appealing ordering sisig with... garlic rice combo and pansit was all too salty together. If choosing these plain white rice is best. Good pickled onions buttaste of sisig I did not care for. The sauce on the bottom was overpowering. First bite was okay but after that no bueno. Thesweet longanisa isn’t the traditional longanisa I’m used to. It’s Patties but still the taste well that’s not Filipino. The lechon kawali you can’t really mess up and flavor was on point but some pieces were chewier than others. I don’t carefor those. Maybe cook 5min longer/broil. Restroom was clean and small but decent dining area/cafe. Service fast. Very busytakeout and me myself and I dining in but I did come off hours (Linner) Read more

The pictures of the Boodle Box look great, right? I mean, what's not to like in those pictures? The colors are fantastic, the... amount and variety of different dishes in one container are things that most of us find appealing and the price is great forwhat you get... all good stuff, right? Yes, for most, I'm guessing... for adventurous people who want to try out Philippinecuisine that don't know any better, that do not know what good Filipino food should taste like. If you are Filipino/a who knowshow Philippine cuisine should taste like, or anyone else who knows the tastes.... DO NOT come here because their Google listingappealed to you because of the great photos and menu prices, you will be highly disappointed. Don't waste your time travellingto this place and spending your money on the food. It's a lot of food in that box... tocino, pancit, rice, lechon kawali, chicken adobo, 1 lumpiang Shanghai roll, and 1 mini vegetable fried lumpia... again, awesome variety right? NONE of it tastedgood. Ok, of course this is a subjective review but... I grew up on Filipino food, both at home and countless other homes andFilipino restaurants. I am no expert but I know how Filipino food should taste. This is THE first time in my 50 years of livingI came into a restaurant and sampled basically all the staples and I found ALL dishes I ordered both unappealing andunsatisfying. So much so, I worked hard on eating at least half of it, just so I wouldn't waste it all. What's the story here? How is this place called Carabao Express? (I love this name by the way, another reason I decided to come and try it). Itdefinitely made me think as I was dining there. One characteristic of a Filipino restaurant is staff... usually, there's atleast one Filipino person. Here, there was none. Enough said. Read more

Ordering was easy, prices fair, service excellent. I ordered pork belly sisig which was delicious. My friend ordered the 2... entree box but they didn't get the option of choosing pork sisig (it showed as sold out) but I was able to get it with mine, the1 item box set. She didn't care for the garlic fried rice but raved about the lechon! Overall, I would come back here again andwould recommend for fast food Filipino food ???? Congrats and gl with the business Read more

First time at the restaurant, small and cozy. You have to order through the kiosk; credit/debit card only. The Caradobo fries... and Pork Belly Sisig Birria tacos were fresh and hot. The meat in the tacos was well seasoned and tender for the most part. Thetacos were a little greasy, but still great. The fries could have used a little more seasoning. I enjoyed the fresh jalapenopeppers on the fries and the the drizzled mayo. The meals were well proportioned as well. I had to purchase the drinkseparately. I will definitely be returning. Read more

Good Filipino food for an excellent price. I got the boodle box which was way more food than I needed. Two people could easily... enjoy it. But it was very good! One of the pork entres I got on it was great and so was the garlic rice. Overall I think thevalue to food quality ratio is super solid which is one of the things I look for when eating out. Another plus is that therearen't many Filipino places in the area (that I know of), which makes Carabao Express a unique experience. Will be back! Read more
