I'm a newbie plant based foodie. The 3 star is for the food. I enjoyed my meal. Although I would have appreciated more options.... The young lady at the register was very helpful.???? My husband and I did not enjoy the dine in environment, it was very dark. And there was a man doing hypnosis on people while other people were eating. I'm disappointed since I've been wanting to trythis place out for over a month. It's not all what I expected. Read more

A beautiful and peaceful place to get good food. It's not a traditional restaurant but a cafeteria set up. Each day several... specific dishes are prepared and you pay one price for a helping of all the meals. They were delicious and made from freshingredients right in front of you. The property is covered in bamboo and other beautiful, serene greens that isolate you fromthe urban environment and transport you. It gives off "Japanese tea garden" vibes. Come here to study, to relax, unwind. Wishwe had a place like this in San Antonio. Read more

I couldn?t recommend this place more. There is tons of bamboo growing and it feels like you are in another country. In the... evening little Christmas lights are glowing it?s so pretty. Casa de luz has a set menu meal of the day and it?s vegan andAyurvedic and really lovely if you enjoy healthy food. I adore bringing any friends who visit here :) Nearby in the same?village? complex there is the third eye mediation lounge which is so lovely too and has workshops Read more

This is an absolutely beautiful place that serves amazing food and spreads a positive message about healthy eating. I haven?t... been here in too long, but I have been eating here for probably 20 years. Every time I eat here I feel more positive abouteating well. I am going through trying to eat better for life and this is the place I think about all the time lately, so I needto do myself a favor and get over here and so should you! Read more

Casa de Luz (the restaurant) and the little compound it?s in (the Village) has been one of my favorite places in Austin since I... moved here 17 years ago. The Village is a sprawling complex that feels a little like walking on the beach road in Tulum. Lots oflittle nooks with hammocks, lounges, twinkling lights, and often incense wafting from one of the many healing spaces hiddeninside. I am not a vegan, yet I find Casa de Luz?s pre-fixe vegan/macrobiotic menu predictably delicious, satisfying, andplenty to fill me up. I love going there when I need some clean food in my belly and a soothing atmosphere. There is indoor andoutdoor seating, and outdoors is also a little oasis for children and pups. When my kid was little we came here often to get anourishing meal while he climbed on the play structure. I noticed during my most recent visit that the bathrooms have beenupgraded, and there seem to be several new spaces in the compound selling pressed juices, elixirs, and natural remedies. Andthere are all sorts of activities, like sound baths, qigong, and meditation going on regularly. It really is a little villagewhere you can satisfy a lot of rejuvenation needs in one place. The only slight inconvenience of CDL is that parking can behard to come by. There?s a lot of it, but it?s shared with city-run baseball fields, and is also overflowing parking Zach ScottTheater down the street. Read more

It was our first time in Austin and we?re glad we found this very inviting plant based restaurant. The food was perfectly what... we were looking for, purely plant based. Nothing processed added and it was a pleasant experience we had with myfamily. However, it would be great if there were kid-friendly choices. We consider coming back here again. Read more

I love this place and wish there were more centers like this that offer healthy meals in a peaceful environment! My type of... place 100%. The menu is the same for everyone - you only get to chose your dessert / tea, the rest is fixed. Love that itminimizes waste. Thank you! I?ll be back several times during my stay in Austin. If they offered a meal plan I would be eatingthere every day ???? Read more
