KILLER cheese tortellini! But unfortunately, we ordered the james bahn and the apricot chicken salad sandwiches, and there was a... drastic difference in the way they were made. The apricot one had barely anything on it, it was mostly just (very) sadcroissant. The james bahn, however, was overloaded like crazy. Food was awesome! Finding the place less so. I finally called from the parking lot and got directed to “The Howdy Cafe” The... MeeMaw sandwich is off the hook. The bread was a croissant shaped/Brioche texture hybrid. I loved it. The chicken salad wasextraordinary and there was a generous portion of lettuce to balance bread and saucy goodness. Perfect sandwich! Wish curbsideworked better or that their signs were more parking lot facing. Very Friendly service. Also super fast service. The shop is tucked inside furniture mall of Texas. They have free cookies for... customer to enjoy. The chicken salad was very unique and tasty. This is my favorite takeout/PU/delivery place during the pandemic! Unlike most takeout foods, this can be healthy - as well as... tasty and well-made. I always get a scoop of 1 of the chicken salad options on a salad. But there are sandwiches too. I'mhappy that there isn't too much mayo and they have a bit of mustard in there too. We stopped by today and ordered from our car. We got the blueberry and buffalo sandwiches. I appreciated how fresh the lettuce... was on our sandwiches. They sandwiches were both delicious in flavor and very filling. We also added the Nutella stuffed cookieand wow was it yummy!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?! I have been familiar with The Vanilla Orchid for years. When I found out they opened The Chicken Salad... Shoppe, I knew that I had to drive in from Houston to try it. I went straight for the Texan plus bacon, of course. My wife gotthe Chipotle Chicken Salad on a Tejas salad. We were not disappointed. This stuff is LEGIT! My wife said the Grilled Lime GreenOnion salad dressing was SO good that she could just drink it! We also got some cookies (King Bubba, Grasshopper, and CaramelStuffed Chocolate Chip) for the road, because the road to Houston is lonely and you need something to spark joy to encourage youalong the way. Our visit would not be complete without taking a piece of Chicken Salad Shoppe back with us, so we got a partypack—four flavors goodness to remind us of what life was like before COVID.
