Dan?s deserves a perfect ten! I ate so much I made myself sick I was full ALL day and then some. Quality food with a old vibes... was exactly what I needed for my birthday. I was so amazing that so many men were in the kitchen. I did not see not one woman.No shame or blame in it I love seeing women work but seeing all men was amazing. I even flirted with the cooks a little just tosay you all did an amazing job at making me smile. When my stomach is happy my heart is happy. It was easy to find the locationwith the GPS and you order your food and pick it up when your order is ready. Organized and Right on time Dan deserves ALLawards for quality food and service. This is one of my favorite burger places when in the area. The food is cooked to order and tastes like the burgers back when I... was a kid at restaurants?hot, real, and the toppings are fresh. The service is pretty good but even better if you are comparingit to fast food places/quick casual which really don?t seem to be into customer service these days. They also have breakfast,and it is also really yummy. The parking at this location is plentiful as they have a big lot dedicated to the restaurant. It iskid friendly and easy to access, too. First visit. Kinda busy. Sign says wait to be seated but the server said seat yourself as he points to an open booth. The booth... was dirty. Had to clean the table ourselves; then the server came over to clean it properly. They switched servers after wewere seated. Not the best customer service. Finally got a smile out of our server after mentioning I was a first timer. Foodwas ok. It was cold by the time it got to the table. Cold fries. Room temp oatmeal. Not gluten friendly at all. I asked for abreakfast taco on corn tortillas. No corn tortillas....'no corn anything' according to the server. (Her exact words) Burgersanytime of the day which is awesome! Breakfast ends at a specific time. My man said the burger ???? was good. It was sloppy butthat's the way it should be I guess......he ordered a triple burger with cheese. I enjoy Dan's Hamburgers at Shady Lane and Airport. The servers and the staff were the best. We went to the counter to place our... order and they told us to take a seat, and someone would be there shortly to take our order. Initially, we went to eatbreakfast. But I just couldn't help craving a burger. Well, I gave in and ordered a regular cheeseburger, a small onion ring,and a fantastic small strawberry shake! Stopped by for a quick bite before going to an event in the area. Walked up and there's two doors at the entrance, the right... door is for pickup and the left door leads to the dining area with walk-up ordering. There's about 25 tables with protectivepartitions in the dining area. The cashier wasn't too helpful when inquiring about their shake flavors. She insisted they areon the menu behind her before I asked her where are they listed. After realizing they weren't on the menu, she rudely statedthey only have strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla. I ordered the strawberry shake. For the food, ordered a cheeseburger,french fries, and onion rings. After about 10 minutes, they called my name to pick up my food at the window. Food was freshand had the nice homemade look. The burger wasn't the best looking, but was very good. The fries and onion rings were bothcrisp and hot out the fryer. A consistent favorite of mine, great service, great food, and great price. Consistenly the best onion rings in Austin, and a... regular Cheeseburger with hickory and mustard is a little messy but very satisfying. Great shakes too, and this all goes forevery location I've been to. Go to Dan's while you still can! You never know what's gonna change next in Austin. Read more
