Dan's for breakfast on the weekends is a trip back in time. It isn't just the decor that nails the classic diner feel, it's the... waitresses that have been there forever, the customer base, etc. It's the real deal. There is always a wait but it's usually 15minutes or less. The service is excellent and the breakfast is stellar. The breakfast tacos are fantastic and the biscuits ngravy are better than Grandma's. I wanted to give this place a try after having driven by it so many times and seeing long lines for the drive-thru. And I can't... say I'm impressed. Sure, it's a quick, cheap burger. But what you get what you pay for, and I honestly think that you could geta better quality hamburger at Wendy's or McDonald's if you really wanted to. Read more

Saturday about 11am. An early lunch. They were pretty busy, but with 2 registers open, the line moved very quickly. I got a... small cheeseburger with mayo instead of mustard, and added bacon and Hickory sauce, with a side of onion rings, and alemonade/Sprite. They were on their game! The burger was hot and tasty, the rings were fresh and crisp and crunchy on theoutside; soft and oniony on the inside. While busy, the dining room was clean, and open tables were ready and waiting. The staffthat we interacted with were pleasant and patient, given the rush hour. Looking forward to our next visit! Read more
Great service. Drive through took a little longer but if the wait is the same here as it is at any chain, I?d rather be at Dans.... Awesome burger, the bacon is the best. The malts and shakes are really good too!! Onion rings are homemade and crispy but notextremely crunchy. So good. I hear breakfast is the best here too! Can?t wait to be back in the Austin area!
