Love this place!! We pass a few restaurants to come here. Their red chilaquiles are authentic. You can ask for them spicy or in... the guajilllo(non spicy) sauce. Their Al pastor street tacos are amazing (my favorite) but when I?m not too hungry their regularAl pastor or carnitas taco are just as good and filling too. They have a variety of salsas for their tacos too. Yummm!! Forsomething different and delicious too are their mole enchiladas with carnitas. The coffee with canela(cinnamon) is an optionthey have, which I love. All of their mezcal cocktails are delicious!! We love breakfast, lunch & dinner here!! Read more

Best Queso Carnitas In Austin!!! Since relocating to Austin last year I have went to many restaurants in search of the best... queso. Don Mario?s offers up the best queso carnitas I?ve ever had anywhere. The service is always stellar, I?ve always beenseated right away. Great little spot with a liquor store, fitness center, donuts shop, and few other things in the same plaza. Parking was a... little tight, but enough. Once inside, the hostess was quick to seat us and the waiter was quick to take order as well. Foodwas very reasonably priced and excellent portion. Good drink selection and menu and pretty authentic in my experience. Noburrito if you are from California! We got some tacos and ingredients were fresh and tasty. To start, the restaurant was pretty clean and staff were very pleasant. We hit the place at around 5pm on a Sunday so it was... not busy. Chips & Salsa Chips were crispy but not hard and tasted pretty good. The salsa was hot which was weird to me. It wasalso very wet with almost no signs of other ingredients even though you could taste them. I was not a fan of the salsa which wasa bummer. It tasted like tomato soup. My wife did not mind it though. Entrees My wife really liked her meal and wants me tobring her back. I had cheese enchiladas and they were almost impossible to get chewed up enough to swallow them. I ordered 3 andate 1 as it took forever to eat them. Definitely not something I would order again. Sides Beans and rice were enjoyed by bothof us. Desert We waited a few minutes after our meal was done to order desert but the waitress did not return soon enough and Ilost interest. I don?t blame her she was very nice. I think she just had a lot to juggle. In the end, my wife says it?s s 4Star and I say my experience was a 2.75 Star. Go figure. It?s worth a try though. Read more
This restaurant is a hidden gem. Authentic Mexican restaurant ! Do not miss the cactus tacos here . Its called nopales . Really... good and unique . We got two of the cactus tacos and the pork and chicken tacos . Really good. The chips and salsa are freshand crispy. And decently priced as well . Read more
