First time! Delicious! Cannot believe I had not been here before. Chips and salsa, really good, esp the green one. Next time, I... will try the salsa sampler. Different and delicious enchiladas with very tasty black beans and white rice. OMG. It is difficult to put into words how much I love this place. The flavors are so unique and genuine. I traveled to Austin,... TX with the goal of eating good, spicy, authentic Mexican food that includes ingredients with no english translation. The highlight here is the staff. Every employee was very attentive and overly nice. Like, seriously friendly. Menu was a little... limited, like the don’t serve fajita beef only ground beef, and they don’t serve frozen margaritas only rocks. What they docarry is really good. Nice portion sizes as well. Met a friend for lunch today and he suggested Eldorado Cafe in North Austin. There is plenty of parking in the shopping center,... which is near the intersection of 183 and Anderson Lane (northeast side). I arrived at 11.30am and by 12.15pm the dining roomwas full. We started with a trio of their special salsas (the first is free, each after the initial is $1.50 per salsa). Refills on chips are free. I ordered the beef peccadillo quesadillas for $12, which came with guacamole, lettuce and sourcream. My friend ordered the taco salad (choice of beef, chicken or beans as your protein) with a choice between fourdressings. Most deliciously, the taco salad comes housed in a freshly fried taco salad shell, which can be dipped into thesavory salsas left over from the chips. Expect to spend about $20 per person (without alchohol) at lunch time and definitelytry to arrive early if you can to beat the rush. Read more
