I visited India Gate on the weekend for their lunch buffet. I arrived right soon after opening when the food was fresh out of... the kitchen. Within about 30 minutes the place filled up and I can see why. There were a variety of curry, vegetable, and meatoptions to choose from. For every dish there seemed to be a vegetarian friendly version along with the meat version. There wasalso a sauce bar with salad, dessert, and hot chai tea. I can?t speak to the authenticity but all of the food itself wasextremely tasty. Fresh hot naan was also brought to our table which was delicious when dipped into the curries and saucy dishes.My favorites were the butter chicken and goat curry. Overall I?d recommend India Gate to people who enjoy Indian cuisine andwould like to enjoy an affordable meal while still being able to try a wide variety of dishes. Read more

We hosted our kids birthday party at India Gate and it was a great experience. They let us come in much early to do the... decorations. The staff was very friendly and helpful and took care of the food setup on time. All our guests loved the food, theveg hakka noodles and chicken 65 were a hit. We loved the paneer biryani and other curries as well. They were attentive to theguests and cleaned up on time. We had amazing time and would definitely recommend. Read more

Placed a catering order for my sons birthday and it was a near disaster. 1. Order was not handed over for pickup on time.... Delayed by 45mins causing guests to stay hungry and wait for food to arrive. 2. On top of it, complimentary cutlery (servingspoons) and burners were not given even after specifying while placing the order. Caused so much confusion with food alreadyarriving late and serving spoons not available at the venue. 3. Chicken lollipops were totally burnt and we had to take it offfrom the menu after guests complained. 4. Customer svc was really bad. Staff behaved rude with the guests who went to pickupfood and held the food off for a balance payment (which usually is done after the event) as we the hosts are busy in theevent. Do not recommend for catering orders if you?re looking to host a private event. Read more

We had an baby shower event organised at India Gate restaurant. Food was very tasty and was kept hot until end of the event. We... had around 30+ Guests, everyone enjoyed the food and appreciated. Price was very reasonable and staff was very supportive beforeand after the event. India gate staff, owner and food made our special event memorable!!! Read more

Went to India Gate for the first time and it was fantastic! We had their South Indian buffet and it was great! Lots of... (vegetarian) options to choose from in the buffet and everything was tasty and fresh. The staff was super friendly andcourteous. they were busy catering to quite a few the tables as it was pretty busy. Glad we found this gem close to us.Definitely our new go-to for South Indian meals! Tried the lunch buffet and it was decent . They are only a few items but most of them tasted good . Loved the chicken biryani ,... gongura chicken and chicken 65 a lot . Taking a star off since cleanliness wasn?t maintained and some of the curries splashed into the other ones . Read more

Last week we took catering from Indiagateaustin below items... Thank you for providing the tasty food items. Most of the food... trays were completed on the same day. I would have rated 4 but they were few items burnt rating reflects the same. Day We Tookthe Food: Mar-05-2022 I just want to share our feedback with the Indiagateaustin team. We have ordered the below items for ourlunch except below two rest of the items good. Onion Pakoda Paneer Tikka Masala Aloo Mutter Tindora Fry with peanuts - Vegpulao Gulab Jamun Veg Manchurian --- Manchurian was too big, saggy, and dry. It would have been small and juicy. Butter Naan-- Completely burnt, we trashed the entire large tray. I have requested money back for a large butter naan tray for somereason, and the manager said it's complicated to return the money back. Instead, they offered me to take some food. As I couldnot take that much food the next day, I took one chicken biriyani. I am hoping Indiagateaustin allows me to compensate the restof the money with other food items whenever we order. Loved the buffet, very well priced. Chicken and Veg Biryanis are a must try. Mango mousse and Carrot halwa were really good!
