Nice small quaint zoo . Not a lot of animals but enough to keep you interested. There was a nice small train ride as well.... Peacocks roam free and you are allowed to pet the lamas, deer and goats . My wife and I enjoyed it very much. Read more

I'm so disappointed in tonight's service due to the fact that no extra to go containers was used to separate my food items. The... cabbage should've not been scooped on top of the chicken fried chicken, and the okra on top of the cabbage. This isunacceptable, but shame on me because I should've examined my plate before I left the business. I like Lubys, but this kind ofservice just makes me want to stay away for a while! Super pleasant experience here. They came to the table to make sure everything was okay with reasonable frequency. I needed some... sauces and they kept going back to the kitchen until I get satisfied with what I wanted. We stayed later than the closing time.They never told us about time and kept waiting till we finishes our meal and conversation. (We should've left earlier, I'mfeeling sorry) They sent us off with big smiles. And of course, needless to say, foods were great as usual???????? Theircustomer services made it even tastier. It?s that time time of year again where I make my way to Luby?s to enjoy the LuAnn Turkey Meal with Mashed Potatoes and... Stuffing. Luckily, I still have a Luby?s just down the road from me where many have closed. The place was busy and got in lineto see a long row of food choices. It seems like the only restaurant left where you grab a tray and slide your way placing foodin plates and bowls on it. After getting my turkey meal, a roll and drink it was time to pay. This is another unique experiencenot found elsewhere where you can get up to (as I still remember) $10 over your meal where they give you back cash to use asyour tip. It is courteous to place your tip on the table before eating so the staff member (back in the day it was an old ladypushing a cart to refill your drinks), can see it. This way they know to serve you well. The turkey was sliced and very tastyalong with the sides. If you are expecting gourmet then not for you where this place is designed for older folks where theywant to eat something without having tummy issues later with hard spices and seasonings. The bread here is debatable but my rollwas nice and soft. Overall great place to bring the family or take your parents too. Read more
